Re: Accessibility of the Microsoft Outlook app
Please report it to Microsoft. On the desktop version there's a feedback button. There may be one also on the mobile version, maybe in settings? Something similar was happening in MS Word on the mac and it was fixed. Re: Work Flow App?
I don't use it extensively, but I do test it out and use it from time to time. It's fully accessible, and the developers are really good about taking accessibility-related feedback and making fixes/enhancements. It goes on sale from time to time, but it may be worth the fully $5 to you. The description--and all the articles you can find online--describe it well, and anything they tell you about will be doable with VoiceOver, so you can decide from there. I have reported these issues using the in-app “contact support” feature, and my query has been escalated. Article about Apple Music and iTunes Match
Hi all, FYI, I’m pasting a link to an article from a generally trustworthy iOS blog. According to information posted publicly on Twitter by Eddy Cue, those who purchase a subscription to Apple Music won’t need a separate iTunes Match subscription as the functionality will be built-in. As well, apparently there’s a chance that the 25K song limit will be bumped up to 100K for iOS 9. successful end to my iBook refund saga
I am happy to report that my saga of the unreadable iBook ended happily. After wasting way too much time with the terms and conditions, I did what I should have done in the first place. I googled my question of how to get a refund for an iBook. I got a link to an Apple support page where somebody had asked and received an answer to a similar question. The answer included the link to the page where you sign in with your Apple id, then fill out a simple form, and presto! Within a few hours of submitting the report, I got a nice email from an iTunes store rep stating that my account would be refunded. Now I’ll buy the Kindle version, since their free sample read perfectly in the Kindle app. Go figure. FW: backing up and restoring books in Voice Dream Reader
Below is a response from Winston Chen when I asked about how to back up voice Dream files independently using iTunes. I could not find the answer Winston referenced about backing up with iTunes under the Support section of the voice Dream website. However, when I followed what was under the FAQs on the website, I didn't have any more success than I did when I originally posted. Reduced to just email. I recall having put an answer to this question under the support section on my web site, http://www.voice dream.com. The gist is, you can use iTunes, Apps, File Sharing section to move the Voice Dream Library folder to your desktop. iTunes can't put an entire folder back, and for that I suggest a desktop application called iExplore which gives you full access to the folder structure on a iPhone. Best, Winston. I also tried adding files to my iPhone 6 using the file sharing section of iTunes but couldn't locate anything that I saved in the previous step. I know Voice Dream content will be restored with a full iTunes restore but folks are looking for a way just to back up the Voice Dream content to either their computers or a cloud folder and we need your assistance in how this might be done. When I went under Apps in itunes and placed focus on Voice Dream in the file sharing section, two folders are presented as being on my iPhone within Voice Dream for which I can access the Save To button in iTunes to save them to my computer, an Inbox and the Voice Dream Library. I saved the Voice Dream Library folder which shows as being 795MB in size so that would seem to be the correct one. However, after saving it and perusing the folder where I placed it, I could not find anything that looked like a book file or folder from Voice Dream with Windows Explorer. When I tried reversing the process in order to add a file from my computer to Voice Dream using file sharing in iTunes, I also could not find anything that looked like a Voice Dream book. So, the long and short of the above is that I don't know how you can independently back up your Voice Dream content to your computer. I will say that I had to do a full restore of my iPhone 6 from an iTunes encrypted backup do to a problem with the Fleksy Keyboard app upgrade and all my Voice Dream books were in the app after the restore. So an iTunes encrypted backup does back up that content but restoring it is an all or nothing endeavor.
