Re: iGrill Questions

2016-12-26 Thread englishrider91
Wow, Richard! Thanks for a link to the PDF, as well as pasting those
quick-start directions in to your email! I've seriously been wanting an iGrill,
and when I do, I'm sure I'll find your email useful. In fact, I'm going to use
the link you posted to download that manual in to the Manuals folder in Voice
Dream Reader, so I can have it handy when the time comes to really get serious
about learning exactly how the iGrill works. In the meantime, the manual will
probably help me understand how it works a bit better. For example, I'm a bit
confused as to the function of the base part mentioned in the quick-start
directions.

you know of any blindness-specific podcasts that do an unboxing/demonstration
of the iGrill Mini?

Thanks,
Ari

I don't think this is possible. Any relationship details are for how those
people are related to you. With that information, you can tell Siri something
like, call my husband and have Siri call the right person, if you've set this
up, of course.

Thanks,

Audible two for one sale cart on the iPhone

2016-12-26 Thread Mary Otten
Audible has started a two for one sale for members that will end on New Year's
Eve. You can put two books into your special card and then buy them for one
credit. The problem? Once you have selected your two books, there does not seem
to be any way to actually access the card and buy the books. I had my cited
husband look without voiceover, and he couldn't find away either. Has anyone
successfully done this using your phone?

Re: Trying to get the Alexa App from the UK store, from Ireland

Hi Sandra. Personally I think the easiest way is to set up a new Apple ID. When
you make it, just put that you're from the UK. Put in an address that you know
exists in the UK and don't worry about credit card information. Hope this helps.

Hi yes it is possible to purchase gift cards for iTunes and pay for them via
Paypal from sites like

2016-12-26 Thread Danijela Popović
Hi friends,
Today I need an explanation for the Contacts app. I think the best way
to ask my question is through an example...
I have a contact named Kate. Now I'm creating a contact named David.
David is Kate's brother. Should I add a related name to Kate's
contact, and set David as her brother, or set Kate as David's sister
in Kate's contact?
I hope it isn't so complicated, and somebody could help me...

Best regards,

i would not be surprised if it couldn't do more than 50 pages at a time. That

It is always a good idea to read the manual.
Here is the first part of the manual followed by a link to an accessible PDF

Subject: iGrill Questions

I recently purchased and I grill mini, I have several questions:

- does the device typically come with a battery?
- what size battery does it use?
- it came with a thin metal desk about his big in diameter as a half-dollar
piece, what is that supposed to be?
1- I have unscrewed two tiny screws in the bottom of the device and removed the
magnetic plate, I assume that is where the battery is to be placed – is this
correct?

Thanks for any help anybody can offer!

Voice Over going silent

that. I just hear a slight click when ever I swipe up, down, right or left.
If I turn Voice Over off and on again. It reads the app that is in focus,
but one I double tap or move any directions, back to the clicking sound.

Any ideas?

You need to turn off (by double tapping on the Live Photos button) the Live
Photos feature within the camera app. This will restore sounds when taking
photos. You should also go to Settings--Camera and Photos and then double tap
to turn on Preserve Settings. This stops Live Photos coming back on unless you
deliberately turn it on. Harry

Under settings and camera etc. and preserve settings does live photo need to be

Turned it off under the camera app.

You would want to find out which department in your city handles traffic light

passcode, and a passcode is something that I won't be entering.
However, I understand that there is a setting whereby I can disable this

All suggestions of what I should do will be, gratefully, received and studied.

Trying to get the Alexa App from the UK store, from Ireland

2016-12-26 Thread 'Sandratomkins' via VIPhone
Hi,

I have enabled my, brand new, Echo Dot gen 2, but I am having great
difficulty getting the app. Because the Dot is not set up for Ireland, I had to
get it from the UK, the app is not available in the Irish app store. So,
although I know it is possible, can anyone talk me through the easiest way to
get the app? I know how to change the country settings in settings/iTunes/App
store, but don't know about credit card and address info. Do I need to set up a
new apple ID? I only want to get a free app.

If anyone has done this and knows the easiest way, please tell me!!!

Thanks, Sandy.

Re: Camera flash sounds on IPhone 7

2016-12-26 Thread Harry Bell
You need to turn off (by double tapping on the Live Photos button) the Live
Photos feature within the camera app. This will restore sounds when taking
photos. You should also go to Settings--Camera and Photos and then double tap
to turn on Preserve Settings. This stops Live Photos coming back on unless you
deliberately turn it on. Harry
