I'll be getting the h800's from amazon once I can get together some
money. I'll probably use them just for skype, but checking out the
bluetooth function will be very cool.

If you are on the computer and your phone rings, you just slide the switch from
USB to BT.
A little heads up, the dongle can be stored inside the cover on the left
earpiece.
Here are some really good instruction I got from Mike B:

Device selection switch, located at the rear of the right ear piece.
When you have the headset on, the device selection switch on the right ear can
be slid to its bottom setting for off, the middle setting for Bluetooth, and
the top setting for RF with the dongle / receiver plugged into the computer.

Volume up, located at 12:00 on the face of the right ear piece.

Volume down, located at 6:00 on the face of the right ear piece.

Microphone mute, located at 9:00 on the face of the right ear piece.
The mute button mutes all sound input to the headset when playing music.
The mute button mutes the boom microphone when on the phone.

Play/pause or Answer call/end call, located at 3:00 on the face of the right
ear piece.

Next track/Fast Forward, located at the bottom of the right ear piece between
the USB port and the power/device selection switch.
Press the button down towards the charging port for, Next Track / Fast Forward.

Previous track/Rewind, located at the bottom of the right ear piece between the
USB port and the power/device selection switch.
Press the button up towards the device selection switch for, Previous Track /
Rewind.

The left ear piece has two small tactile dots on it. If you turn the cover
until the two dots are lined up, the cover will come off and inside there is
the battery, which can be replaced by someone with jeweler tools; and a spot to
store the RF dongle when not in use with the computer.

in the US, an annual Gold membership is $149 for 12 credits.
That is roughly $12.50 per credit.
The idea of being able to return books is if you are dissatisfied with the
book.
Returning them for any other reason is unethical at best.
The Audible app is easy to use.
Personally I'm waiting for the commercial books to show up on BARD Mobile,
which many more are doing these days.
The subject line was about adding an equalizer, but it was based on a false
premiss.
BARD has a tone setting, but it is not in three separate parts, which a true
equalizer would have been.
You can adjust the Tone setting to more bass, normal, or more treble, but you
cannot say; add more bass, and at the same time add more mid-range.

I have the option to buy 3 extra credits every time I have only 1 credit

I am going to have to agree with Marry deleting books in the app is a pain.
They shouldn't have ever changed the way it use to work. @Josh I would have to
really hate my books to return them. I am hoping to build up a massive library

Re: teamviewer on the iPad

2019-11-15 Thread Justin Harris
Hi there,
I run an online radio station. I was hoping that perhaps I could use Teamviewer
to access the station pc and do things on the fly. For example, I do a weekly
remote broadcast, which is scheduled in my broadcast automation software as
silence. However, sometimes the event being broadcasted finishes up a bit
earlier than what was programmed, so to avoid silence on the station, I was
hoping to be able to use Teamviewer to access that computer and insert more
songs. Plus, it would be good to have remote access when traveling. TeamViewer
works pretty well from pc to pc, but none of the modifier keys or special keys,
or key combinations seem to work. Bummer.

Re: teamviewer on the iPad

2019-11-15 Thread Justin Harris
Well,
What I can say is that the app seems to be accessible in the sense that most
app controls are labeled. I was able to successfully connect to the pc, but
that’s about where things started to go down hill. Arrows and regular keys seem
to work, but no special keys like alt, ctrl, windows, etc. I looked at settings
to see if I could find anything about these special keys, as they aren’t
enabled on other platforms either like Windows. You have to enable them.
However, that does not seem to be possible with the iPad OS app. I could be
missing something, but for now I am quite stumped. If anyone has an idea, it
will be most welcome.
I would try out the other service mentioned a few messages ago, but $100 is a
bit much right now after already having made the big investment of a down
payment on the iPad plus a keyboard case.

Re: teamviewer on the iPad

2019-11-15 Thread Holly

Justin:

My computer tech used to get Team Viewer for free, but when he tried to
access my computer a few weeks ago, he got the notice that he was cut off.
He only had about three computers on his access list at the time, but had
more before he officially retired.

Glad you are still getting it for free.

Re: teamviewer on the iPad

2019-11-15 Thread Justin Harris
.600 a year? That is nuts!!! I am guessing that it could have to do with
commercial use, but I use it for free. I really don't get that at all.
Honestly, it would be absolutely incredibly amazing if a developer could create
an app that would interface with the nvda addon because that addon works so
incredibly well, even with not so good internet. Most of the time, even with
bad internet, other than a tiny keyboard with my 2 in one, it feels like I'm
sitting at my desktop, because it is so responsive. I think, and could be
wrong here, but I think that the NVDA remote addon doesn't output graphics,
just speech and nvda sounds. I'm pretty sure a keyboard would be needed to make
it play nice with Windows, but it would be great to have something so fast and
stable for the iPad. Even when I used teamviewer on the mac back when I still
had one, or even on a pc, it seemed glitchy. If the internet wasn't good, there
was some serious delay between a key press and a response. Not so with that
addon. Sadly I can't even find a way to contact these people to see if they
would ever be interested in putting something like this together. So,
Teamviewer or similar will have to do.

Hi,

I found that when you want to go to blutooth on the H800 it is a lot easier to
push the switch to the top then slide it back to the middle position. It seems
that if you try and go from the off position and try and push it to the
Bluetooth position you often go to far. Just my two cents worth.

teamviewer on the iPad

2019-11-15 Thread Justin Harris
Hey folks,
First off, I just wanted to say thanks to those of you who have helped in
answering my questions. I don't know what I would have done without you.
Having said all that, I am curious as to whether or not anyone has tried
Teamviewer or similar apps on the iPad. For those who don't know, Teamviewer is
a program that will allow you to control a computer remotely, among other
things. Right now with my Windows tablet, I use the NVDA addon, but sadly there
is no app that could interface with that, so I'll be stuck going back to what I
used before, which is Teamviewer. I've done this on another Windows machine, as
well as on Mac OS. But have never tried it on an iPad. I an just curious if
anyone else has done this. How well does it work? I would imagine that you
would almost have to have a physical keyboard connected to the iPad for this to
work. If you have done this, or if you know of a better app than teamviewer,
please let me know. If nobody else has done it, I'll take the plunge once my
keyboard case comes in later today, and will report on how well it works.

This is the first real bug I've ever dealt with. I'm using the latest update
which is 13.03 or something like that. Anyway when I end a call I lose speech
and everything on my phone goes blank and it takes me forever to be able to
shut down and reboot. Is there a work around until a new update comes out with
the fix? I really can't handle this one and I am technology challenged.
Thanks for any help you can give if there is any to give.

Re: H800 Instructions, Re: Bluetooth headphones

2019-11-15 Thread Richard Turner
I would suggest looking them up on the web site for either Walmart or Amazon
and find the feature list and compare.
I've only ever looked at the H800.

Hello,

Have you tried toggling VoiceOver off and back on again with either using Siri
or with the accessibility short cut? This should resolve the voiceover not
speaking issue.

I hope this helps.

Carla

2019-11-15 Thread Ed Worrell
Hello,

Have you tried toggling VoiceOver off and back on again with either using Siri
or with the accessibility short cut? This should resolve the voiceover not
speaking issue.

I hope this helps.

Re: Split screen on the iPad

2019-11-15 Thread Justin Harris
hi,
Thanks for the info. So far this all makes sense, and I was able to open mail
as a floating app with facebook in the background. The biggest problem I see
here is that it would seem that one can only multitask with apps in the doc. It
would be nice to be able to do the same thing with any app on the home screen.
Am I missing something?
Also, do keyboard commands exist to do this, or is it strictly on screen?
Thanks.

My husband and I was watching something and he turned on the audio feature and
when the next movie came on he had to go back in and turn it on again. For some

RE: Change in Podcasts app

2019-11-15 Thread Ian Robinson
Hi Marcia,

Where are you looking for the track position slider?
There isn't a slider in the mini-player that appears at the bottom of the
screen. However, if you tap the name of the podcast in the mini-player, then
the full screen player will open and it does contain a slider as well as fast
forward and rewind buttons, speed control, etc.

Regards.

I have noticed that the track position slider has disappeared from the native
Apple podcasts app. Does anyone know if this is a bug or something they
planned? It's a true nuisance!

Subject: Split screen on the iPad

Good day everyone,
I still can't figure out how to do split screen on the iPad. I found that
picture in picture works without me having to mess with it, so last night I was
able to listen to tv while on facebook at the same time. But, I totally don't
understand what I should be doing to make split screen work. In settings, allow
multiple apps is already activated. So, what are the gestures for this? Are
there new gestures in iPad os 13?
Thanks, Justin

Thanks guys for your reply.
Well I too am able to locate "Return to Mail" on a website.
But strangely I can't seem to locate "Return to whatsapp" on a website.
