This is tedious, but might be worth it. If characters is not in your rotor, put 
it in, and go to the beginning of theoriginal  url. Go through it, character by 
character, then do the same to what you pasted in. Hopefully, there is a space 
or some extraneous character that got inserted when you pasted it in.

Good and bad news about the WalkAssist app

In case you are new to the WalkAssist app, it recognizes traffic walk/don't
walk signs as well as crosswalks when at intersections.  

 

The developer, a junior in high school, had put the app in a State science
fair.  She was just informed that she should not have posted it to the app
store until after the competition and was asked to take it down.

Had she not put it in the app store, she would have gone directly to the
National competition.  

She has now taken down the app.  

Current users are welcome to continue using it, but no new downloads will be
available until after the competition is over in a few weeks.

 

The good news is when it comes back, there will be several
updates/improvements.  So stay tuned.

In about an hour from now, I am going to host a short live audio session on
Twitter Spaces for list members.

Actually, this is just a test session but I would like to get a feel for how
Spaces works for us and take it from there.

If you are available, please join me.

There are several ways to fine the space.

If you follow me, on Twitter, I will send out a tweet at the start of the
Space.

If you would like to talk to me, during the Space, you must join from within
the Twitter app.  You can simply go to my profile page which it @MarkMarcus.

Or, from within the Twitter app, after selecting the Spaces Tab, near the
top of the screen, in the Spaces search edit box, type in MarkMarcus, then
hit the Search Button.  If the space is live, you will see it appear in the
results list.

Finally, if you would like to listen to the space via a web browser you can
go to:
https://twitter.com/markmarcus and take it from there.

There's two way you could do this.

First, right after VoiceOver reads the URL perform a three finger quadruple tap 
to copy the text VoiceOver just read to the clipboard. Now you can go to where 
you want to paste it and use the edit option.

Second, use the text select option in the roter to select the text you want to 
copy, such as the URL. Once you choose text select in the roter, swiping up and 
down will determine the granularity of what you'll be selecting. You can then 
flick left and right to select and deselect text. Note you want to get Voicer's 
focus to the URL before you start this. Now use edit to copy the text to the 
clipboard and then again to paste it where you want it.

I recommend the Logitech K-380. It's solid, and you can pair it with up to 
three devices. The keys are normal size, so it may be larger then you want. It 
won't fit in a pocket, but it'll easily slide into a brief case or large purse. 
You do need to enter a code when pairing it, so some thing this is an 
unnecessary complication when setting it up.
