Phone Not Coming On

I have the SE 3 and it appears to have died.  I tried plugging ear buds in
and turning the volume up and that didn't work.  I tried putting it on a
couple of different chargers and that didn't work.  The screen is totally
black.  I don't remember how to do a reset but there is no power to the
phone anyway.  Any help will be appreciated.  Thanks!

Of course I could have generated a QR code with the entire article below and 
included it in this email, then all you would have to do is scan it with your 
iPhone camera and all this information would have been there.

What is the Difference Between a Barcode and a QR Code?

Barcodes and QR codes are two types of systems that can be used to store 
various types of data.
The primary distinction between a barcode and a QR code is that a barcode can 
only store data in one dimension, whereas a QR code is capable of storing data 
in two dimensions.
Although the two technologies have progressed over time, there are still some 
differences that make each one best suited for specific applications than
others. Here, we will first look at the difference between a barcode and a QR 
code, followed by a brief explanation of what a barcode and a QR code are.

What is a barcode?
A barcode is a square or rectangular image composed of parallel black lines and 
white spaces. This data representation can be read by machines. In stores,
barcodes are extremely useful for processing purchases. They aid in the 
identification of products in seconds.
Also, these codes can be used to keep track of inventory in warehouses. In many 
shops and businesses, barcodes aid in the accounting process. There are
different types of barcodes based on their application. They provide several 
advantages in the sales process, including improved accuracy, immediate date 
availability, low-cost implementation, and better inventory control.

The following are the advantages or benefits of barcodes:
• It enables accurate and rapid data collection in real-time using barcode 
readers.
• It allows for faster data entry operations with fewer errors.
• It is a mature and tested technology.
• It is less costly.
• It is lighter and smaller than RFID tags, and it is simple to use.
The following are some of the drawbacks of barcodes:
• To decode a barcode, a special device called a barcode scanner is required, 
which emits light and accumulates reflected light.
• A barcode scanner or reader is used in conjunction with computers or POS 
terminals.
• Barcodes do not support read/write operations.
• It necessitates scanning of the optical line of sight (LOS).
• It is time-consuming because each item must be scanned individually.
• It is less secure than RFID, which is easily forged.
• It is vulnerable to environmental degradation.
• Damaged or crinkled barcodes may cause scanning issues.

What is a QR code?
A quick response code, also known as a QR code, is a type of barcode that 
includes machine-readable details about the item to which it is attached. A QR 
code, unlike a standard barcode, is two-dimensional, containing information in 
both vertical and horizontal directions.
QR codes comprise a wealth of data. Everyone, from large corporations to the 
local grocery store, can generate their QR code and bind it to their products.
With the rise of smartphones, QR codes have grown in popularity in the last 
decade. Many QR code scanner smartphone apps are available for free download.
So, when you see a QR code, simply scan it with your phone’s app; the app 
usually uses the phone’s main camera to scan the code, and the preset action 
associated with the code is triggered, like launching a web page, sending a 
tweet, downloading an app, etc.

The following are the advantages or benefits of QR codes:
• QR codes can encode almost any type of data, including numeric, alphabetic, 
special, and binary data. They can be scanned using a camera in a smartphone or 
any phone that has scanning capability.
• QR codes enable exceptionally fast scanning.
• The QR code, like some other 2-d barcodes, has high fault tolerance. Even if 
some of the code is destroyed, information could still be extracted from it.
• Unlike 1-d barcodes, it can store a large amount of information.

The following are some of the drawbacks of QR codes:
• Smartphones used for scanning QR codes are frequently more expensive than 
simpler phones.
• As a comparatively new barcode type, users are unfamiliar with its 
application. To fully grasp the concept, training is required.
• It is not very aesthetically pleasing; unlike 1-d barcodes, it includes 
random patterns of square boxes that may not look appealing on products.

Types:
Barcodes: There are two types, 1D and 2D

Barcodes: It’s a method of storing numbers in a printed and computer-readable 
format.
QR Codes: It is a 2D barcode or printed data representation capable of 
retrieving data when scanned.

Open settings, tap on control center button, 

Swipe to show home controls is on

Swipe to code scanner then reorder code scanner button Voice Over  announces 
double tap and hold wait for sound then drag to rearrange.

Did not double tap but swiped more controls is heading with many options.

It states insert Apple TV remote.  I am using Spectrum TV remote.

Next time I hear scan QR code on TV I’ll open camera and swipe to QR code.  

Or maybe take a photo and hope QR code is on photo.  

I usually watch TV on TV in bedroom.  However, I have Spectrum TV on phone.  

Open Spectrum TV on phone set to CNBC the host is talking wait for commercial 
but no QR code.  I tap settings and TV closes.  

I’ll try a photo later today.

Best option is to make sure "Code Scanner" is added to your control panel, you 
can check in Settings > Control Panel and if it si not in your list you can add 
it.

Then swipe down from the top to bring up Control Centre, tap Code Scanner and 
point your rear camera towards the QR code. You typically don't have to be 
super close, once the camera sees it it will get recognized, there is nothing 
you have to do.

I just started seeing this yesterday. I had just switched to trying Ava premium 
when I noticed this. I switched back to Ava enhanced, but I haven't used my 
phone enough since then to know if this fixed it or not. This is on my iPhone 
11. I should probably also try closing everything up and restarting.

I have had it happen ocasionally,   even in updates before 16.   It always 
recovers quickly, so I don't really worry about it.

I have enough sewing skills to attach the button tags. I’m sure I have put some 
items through the wash with just a safety pin holding the tag on, but it’s not 
my norm.  The buttons are black, so you do want to think about where to attach 
them where they  won’t show. I typically sew them onto an existing tag in the 
clothing, either at the collar or on the side sea near the bottom hem.

whatsapp and facebook but it occurs randomly.
Are there people that can confirm this behaviour? I have already restarted
and cold rebooted my phone.

Having Wi-Fi on is not the same as activating Wi-Fi calling which is done in 
Settings > Phone.
If you turn Wi-Fi calling on it means that if you do have a poor cellular 
signal and you are connected to Wi-Fi, that your call is made using Wi-Fi 
instead of cellular.

As I said, turn off the automatic switching and see if that helps:

Settings > Accessibility > Voiceover > Audio, turn of "Auto Select Speaker in 
Call"
If this fixes your issue then it is quite likely that your phone's proximity 
sensor might not work correctly which then would not be a Voiceover bug.

Another thing I found very interesting this audio issue with the calls, fading in and out, just started happening for me, I’ve had the same amount of signal strength for quite some time now, and never had an issue before. If turning on Wi-Fi calling improves the connection and gets rid of drop outs 
then this means your cellular coverage is not very good and that it was the 
reason for bad call quality.

I have had a problem when talking with someone on the phone and the call feeds 
in an out what it was my phone then I thought it was someone else’s phone. I 
contacted Apple Accessability when discussing another problem with them and 
they said that I should turn Wi-Fi calling on. This does seem to work and most 
of the time I get a good connecting, good connection, when talking on the phone.

Have you disabled the automatic switching between earpiece and speakerphone to 
see if that helps? It would be one thing you can do to try and rule out that it

About a month later, I sent another email and they responded that they are 
still working on resolving the problem.


Like you say, I can talk OK when wearing my blue tooth hearing aids, but 
don't want to do that all the time just around the house.


Guess we will just have to hang in.

Comfort in knowing we are not alone.

Anyone who is having this problem, please email or call Apple accessibility, 
as the more it reported, the faster we can get it resolved.

Iphone se 2020 audio issue

Hi all,
Just wondering how many of you are still having the audio issue when
on a phone call of the audio cutting in and out that seems to have
been happening since around IOS 16.2?  I have been communicating back
and forth with apple and I encourage anyone that is still facing this
issue to do the same.  Keep trying to call and discuss this issue
until we can get it resolved.  So far the only thing that helps is
useing bluetooth headphones but who wants to use headphones all the
time?  I kept calling, trying what they told me to try and finally had
the phone cut out enough on a call that they started doing diagnostic
tests on my phone and now are trying to figure it out.  So don't give
up if you've called and feel like you didn't get much help just keep
calling until you get someone that is willing to help and listen to
your problem.

I do not use WhatsApp or Facebook and have not experienced this. But since you 
suspect your CPU, how many apps do you have open when this happens?

new bug or phone related bug in ios16.3 VO constantly randomly crashing

Hi folks 

This bug is not severe I know, and maybe has something to do with my cpu
memory or something else, but after updating, when working and scrolling
with the iphone, maybe 10 20 times a day VO stops speaking, then says,
screen curtain on and will work normally again. This mostly happens in
whatsapp and facebook but it occurs randomly.
Are there people that can confirm this behaviour? I have already restarted
and cold rebooted my phone.
