Ok, now I need to check this out too.  I will be sending an email to the 
developer, you might want to think about doing that too.  Maybe we all can get 
the developer to figure out which flake got in to this app.

A 13 pro with iOS 16.6.
Normally, I have no issues with Siri commands, but since the developer was able 
to duplicate the issue, you are very lucky to get it to work consistently when 
the developer can't, .

spoke did Siri say which app do you want to listen to this on? I responded with 
a Rollin G, and Siri asked for access, I said, yes, it played it on 
Weatherology.

The next time I asked, it just spoke at its self like it has done every 
time cents. So hopefully the developer will figure this bug out and fix it

Normally, I have no issues with Siri commands, but since the developer was able 
to duplicate the issue, you are very lucky to get it to work consistently when 
the developer can't, .

Well, I just tried five or six times in a row and only when I miss spoke did 
Siri say which app do you want to listen to this on? I responded with a Rollin 
G, and Siri asked for access, I said, yes, it played it on Weatherology.
The next time I asked, it just spoke at its self like it has done every time 
cents. So hopefully the developer will figure this bug out and fix it 
permanently.

Creating a phone shortcut

Greetings all. I would like to create a shortcut to appear on my home
screen to call a specific phone contact or favorite. For the record, I
don't use Siri hardly at all, except to call my wife. It occurred to
me today that I could probably add a shortcut or contact to my home
screen to do this, and then I would be able to disable Siri
completely. I realize Siri is an everyday life line for many, and I
have no problem with that. I have my reasons for not using Siri, and
for the record, I informed an Apple representative once when I was
talking to them about another issue, and they said they would pass my
feedback along to the Siri team. Anyway, I am very much a novice
shortcut user. I have only used shortcuts for a small handful of
things. So, with that in mind,  does anyone have simple steps for
creating a shortcut for what I want to do, or, can you point me to a
resource that is laid out for novice shortcut users like me?

She just reads it in her voice. I went into settings within the weatherology 
app itself and chose a metiorologist's voice but no luck.

Please let us know if you do find a solution, since I have experienced
it as well in the Mail app. I have a Bluetooth keyboard but often
forget to use it with my phone, even if it could improve things. So
I'm using gestures on the phone. It is an annoying bug/issue, but not
a huge deal, unless it drops me in the middle of an 18 message thread.
It is really inconvenient at that point, but I typically don't open
threads with more than 9 messages unless I really want to read those
messages. For the record, I'm using iOS 16.6 on an iPhone 13 Pro.

Normally, I have no issues with Siri commands, but since the developer was able 
to duplicate the issue, you are very lucky to get it to work consistently when

Well, I just tried five or six times in a row and only when I miss spoke did 
Siri say which app do you want to listen to this on? I responded with a Rollin 
G, and Siri asked for access, I said, yes, it played it on Weatherology.

The next time I asked, it just spoke at its self like it has done every time 
cents. So hopefully the developer will figure this bug out and fix it

Well, I just tried five or six times in a row and only when I miss spoke did 
Siri say which app do you want to listen to this on? I responded with a Rollin 
G, and Siri asked for access, I said, yes, it played it on Weatherology.
The next time I asked, it just spoke at its self like it has done every time 
cents. So hopefully the developer will figure this bug out and fix it 
permanently.

I have observed this behaviour also. Most often, it happens when I have allowed 
VO to read out the first 5 lines of the first message via the "email preview" 
option (or whatever it is called).  I can't say for certain that it is not a VO 
problem, I haven't studied it closely. If I am interested in a given thread, 
which I decide by listening to the subject, then I'll open the thread and go to 
the "message" option anyway since I will want to look at all the emails in the 
thread. I use a bluetooth keyboard as well, which makes rotor operation very 
quick and easy, so for me, this is no great inconvenience.

I haven't even touched the screen so I have to use the rotor to find Messages, 
then swipe up to message 1. It doesn’t happen consistently but this happens 
more often than not. Does anyone know why this happens and how to prevent it? 
Is this. a Mail bug or a bug with VoiceOver?

This app does not use iCloud for thinking, but instead uses its own set of protocol. When you open the settings menu the third or fourth item is SYNC need to tap this where you will be prompted for username and password. This would need to be the SYNC need to tap this where you were gonna be prompted for your username and password. So I think, since you're using the same Apple ID, your overcast data should 
sync over to your iPad as long as you're signed into it with the same Apple ID.

I just found a better way. Double tap the show bookmarks tab, and in there, 
double tap favorites. Find the one you want to delete, swipe down and delete 
it. Don't forget to double tap the back button, to get out of your favorites 
list.

Overcast on it; so I'm charging the phone, and want to continue listening to a 
podcast previously started on the iPhone, on my iPad, right? I've got 
"Overcast" the free version, dus hoping what I'm wanting can be done. So my 
question is, how would I be able to sync (like you can with Tune-in or IHeart 
Radio, or AcuRadio), so that the Ipad will know (in this the case of Overcast), 
to what podcasts I'm subscribed to, thus allowing me to continue listening to 
these across devices?
