Re: Possible used for AirTags

2024-02-01 Thread Thom Spittle
An Air Tag will only work within 30 feet or so. If you get a GPS signal, I
think the best thing to do is use an app like Blind Square, Voice Vista, or
Ariadne. This will guide you close enough to the door and your AirTag could get
you the rest of the way. You could put the AirTag on the inside of the door so
nobody steals it.
The Air Tag uses a kind of getting warmer feature and will tell you how far
away you are ifthat ff

Hable One Smallest Braille Keyboard For Any Tablet or Smartphone - Easy to

Then in the description they say this:

Simplified and Fast Typing: Using Hable One your typing speed enhancement
increases considerably due to the great design streamlines, vastly improving
your previous keyboard experience. You don’t need to know Braille to use it,
making it a perfect choice among blind people products.

So, it’s a braille keyboard but you don’t need to know braille to use it? Just
wondering how this works.

Lol, your method of tex input is Braille, but if you don't know Braille, then you'll use the key combinations to get around on your phone. You can hold down letter p to pause music, hold down h for home, etc. I really enjoy mine, and I had bought the Orbit writer but didn't like it as much.MatthewOn Feb 1, 2024, at 12:13 PM, Sieghard Weitzel wrote:

BeMyEyes groups?

Hi,
Has anyone set up, successfully, a group in the bemyeyes app? I have set up
two, one called NaviLens and the other Family, people, selected from my
whatsapp connections, have joined, but, so far, whenever I choose to call one
of the groups, I am told "no one has joined yet". So, hes anyone done better?
If so, what am I doing wrong?

Re: The next generation of Speech Central has been launched

2024-02-01 Thread Ivan Icin
Richard regarding the book import I think that it is easiest to do it on
the desktop (Windows or Mac), save on some cloud drive (whatever you use)
and import it in Speech Central.

Regarding the instructions on how to download from the Bookshare website,
it would be like this:
1. Go to https://www.bookshare.org/cms/
2. If you are not logged in use the option to log in.
3. search for the book that you want from searchbar.
4. when the book appears select the ePub format (for more advanced use case
you can set this as the default format so that you don't need to do this
each time, but let's skip that for now)
5. press the Download button
6. the website will load the new simpler page and soon there should be a
link "Available" (before it there should be an activity indicator). When
you click download the app will download.

Assuming that you have put the file to some cloud drive and that you have
that cloud app installed on your device, you can import from there
regularly using the 'Import File' feature in Speech Central (or if you
prefer you can use the system Files app and share to Speech Central from
there, that is nearly the same interface).
