I rebooted the phone, but it made no difference. Since this morning, however, it hasn't happened any more. A few days ago, we had a power failure. The Iphone was plugged in at the time, charging, and as soon as the power failed, it became almost impossible to use VoiceOver -- speech would stop almost immediately whenever I tried to do anything on the phone. I tried using BlueTooth BEATS earbuds, and that did not help either. Eventually, when I  began using my MFI hearing aid (which I hadn't been using when the power went off), VoiceOver would work without stopping. are related to the accessibility settings. Should Apple provide an option for

Are there any apps that will connect to Dropbox, and that will let you stream
full folders at a time, and even create playlists from those streams? Thanks so
much.

Re: Another Weird Pronunciation Issue

2019-11-25 Thread Alvin Ng
Try read continuously the following text with us siri male and samantha voice.

Apple Seeds Third Beta of watchOS 6.1.1 to Developers
Apple today seeded the third beta of an upcoming watchOS 6.1.1 update to
developers for testing purposes, one week after seeding the second beta and
three weeks after releasing the watchOS 6.1 update. Once the proper
configuration profile has been installed from the Apple Developer Center, the
new watchOS beta can be downloaded through the dedicated ‌‌Apple Watch Software
Update. To install the update, the ‌‌‌Apple Watch‌‌‌ needs to have at least
50 percent battery, it must be placed on the charger, and it has to be in range
of the iPhone. watchOS 6.1.1 appears to be a minor update focusing on
performance improvements and bug fixes that weren't able to be addressed in
watchOS 6.1. No new features were found in the first two betas of watchOS
6.1.1, but we'll update this article should new features be found in the third
beta. Related Roundups: Apple Watch, watchOS 6 Buyer's Guide: Apple Watch Buy

I've not ever heard the issue with defeat with any voice, until I read back
that sentence with Tom Enhanced. If you read the word by itself, it pronounces
it correctly, but in a sentence it said defeeturing. Very stupid.
GPS seems to be a new thing with various voices so I think it came with iOS 13.
You can go into the VoiceOver Speech, Pronunciations and add it in with the
substitution G P S, and make sure it is set to all voices.
That fixed it for me; but it shouldn't have said it that way to begin with of
course.

 Good fine Alan.
That means it is not a Voice Dream Reader issue.
I just checked and yes any superscript number is read as to the power of.
I suspect in books where that is used, or the m-dash, iOS 13 is
 pronouncing them differently.

I switched to the British Siri Male voice on the language rotor and it did
not say to the power of on the memory numbers on the Apple Store.
Also, when I switch to the Irish Siri voice even though the language is US
English, no to the power of.
So, it is only with US voices.
I'm going to send this to Winston with Voice Dream as well.

Hey Anthony,

Not forgetting Italian. Haha. We're adding support for German, Spanish, Italian

And our document text mode can already read Italian text in the Italian
dialect. Give it a shot and let me know!

Thanks,

I deleted the app since Seeing AI works so amazingly well.
