Using a GPS app while on a phone call in IOS 9
Hello all. I'd like to know if it's possible to use a navigation app (i.e. Blindsquare, Seeing Eye GPS, etc.) while on a phone call on speaker phone. I'm using an IPhone 5s under IOS 9. Flagging all messages from a given domain as VIP on an IPhone 5S using IOS 8.3
Hi folks. I need to know if I can flag all email addresses from a set of two or three given domains (e.g. mydomain.com, mydomain.net, xyzdomain.com, xyzdomain.net) as if they were on a VIP list. I need to be notified immediately if I receive an email from any one of a couple of different domains, but I don't know the email address-so I can't just add it to the VIP list. I also need to know if this is possible in Outlook 2010 but I realize that is off topic for this list. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hi Michael. What I actually need to do is set the mail client to notify me immediately if I receive an email address from one of a set of two or three different domains. This is like adding an individual contact to a VIP list, except that we don’t have the email address the recipient will be using except that it will come from one of a list of two or three given domains. If you use the iPhone at the very bottom after you read all your messages there is a flag move archive there's one for reply or forward or whatever and when I believe to compose if you're using voice over or Siri, you will hear it when you come to it will announce at you double tap and follow the instructions. Appending multiple imported JPG files into one large file in KNFB for IOS
Hi folks. I'd like to know if it's possible at this point to manually append a large group of JPG files into one huge file in KNFB Reader for IOS. I have a document in which the recipient sent each page individually as its own JPG image file. The document is 27 pages, so I received 27 JPG file attachments. I'd like to open each in KNFB file, but consolidate each into one huge KNFB file with all 27 pages in sequence. If we haven't gotten to that point with KNFB Reader, please let me know. Hello. I'm using a 5S and got similar results. I have a little bit of usable vision, and it doesn't look as if the text I'm scanning is showing up on the back facing camera, and I suspect the issue is the case I'm using. It's a Lifeproof Case, and I'm thinking it's blocking the camera lens. Can anyone confirm this? Also--any suggestions about cases that are more suited to using the IPhone with scanner apps would be appreciated. Hi guys. I haven’t been following this thread completely, but here’s what I’ve found with deleting / moving apps. When I deleted two apps successfully after just installing the update yesterday, I found that the Iphone won’t enter app edit mode if you double tap and hold on an icon above the doc. However, if I did the same double tap and hold on another icon on the screen, I went into edit mode as usual. From there, I could delete the app I needed that was above the doc and move / delete as usual—so this is a ffairly minor annoyance, but the workaround is really straightforward. HTH, Chris. Thanks. That's wasn't my issue. I had my device way to close to the image, so when I took my picture, it couldn't find any text. Thanks for the view report feature--it ended up being a life saver along with the tilt vibrations. I'm sure once I get used to lining up documents with a camera, I'll be able to do it in a snap. HI Anna. That's what I'm wondering about. I mis-spoke earlier yesterday; I've been having the issue since Saturday after downloading three books successfully with no problems whatsoever. I have about 3 GB space on my IPhone, so space isn't the issue for the books I'm downloading, which are 100 -200 MB. As I mentioned earlier, the only things Learning Ally could say was to check free space, perform reset, renew lease on WIFI connection, etc. I've tried each at least once, and what I'm thinking might be the issue is something with my router. Any ideas would be appreciated. Also--any other lists for Learning Ally members where I could post this would be very helpful. HI Anna. Unfortunately, I'm still having the issue today, and the customer support rep at Learning Ally told me that several others have had this same problem. I don't remember downloading anything with the app since I upgraded to the latest IOS, so one thing I'm wondering is if it has something to do with the latest IOS build and WIFI issues.
