YouTube help please. Is there a way to quickly advance through a video on either the app or on the web?

I frequently have to quickly advance through lengthy YouTube videos. I am not 
able, it seems, to advance more quickly than by 10 seconds at a time by swiping 
up with a single finger. I know there’s a way that is possible to quickly 
scroll when not using voiceover and cited. Any help would be appreciated.

Reading digital displays on ovens and thermostats

Can any of the available text reading apps successfully read digital 
temperatures on oven and thermostat devices? If so, I have yet to find one that

hi Carla,
You may need to go into the Face ID and passcode settings and turn off the 
require a tension feature. This feature, when turned off, does not require your 
eyesight to be directed at the phone. Most people, I believe, with visual 
difficulties turn this off., I hope this helps.

I finally got in yesterday and was successfully able to enter my six words. 
Unfortunately I failed. Does the site tell you what the word was if you fail, 
are you only find out if you fail?
The trick for me was finding the enter key on the lower left corner of the 
screen.

I can’t speak for the app, but on the website you can just type in the word,

I have used amazing slow downer for a number of years with success. I use it 
exclusively on an iPhone. I currently have an iPhone 13 promax.
with the introduction of iOS 16.0, slider behavior has been non-functional. For 
my use case, this means I cannot adjust pitch, speed, or loop start and stop 
times with the precision I would like.
I have contacted the developer several times. He can reproduce this problem. He 
has sent bug reports to Apple for both the iOS 16.1 and iOS 16.2 versions. The 
problem has not yet been fixed in iOS 16.3.
I spoke with Apple Accessibility last evening. They were able to get amazing 
slow downer to work, I believe on an iPhone running 16.3.
today, the developer says he has no additional solutions to offer, other than 
finding an iPhone 6 which updates to the most recent iOS 12. The program works 
well on iPad I am told.
in short, does anyone here use amazing slow downer on an iPhone running iOS 
16.X? If so, can you report on slider behavior? Any suggestions you may be able 
to put forward as to further steps?

trouble accessing share and tab buttons, along with all other buttons at the bottom of safari screens since installing iOS 16.2

Since installing iOS 16.2 on my iPhone 13 promax, I have had difficulty 
accessing the share buttons and tab buttons along with the other buttons 
usually located at the bottom of safari screens.
Does anyone have similar experience? Is there a way to reliably access these 
buttons? A four finger single tap at the bottom of the screen does not bring 
these buttons for me.

and indicated that he had been using an app titled file browser. This was a 
purchased app, I believe at a reasonable price. If following Anna’s 
instructions proves difficult for you, you may wish to explore this as a 
possibility.

I have not yet pursued getting AirTags. I do understand, however, that in 
addition to the AirTag,one needs to acquire AirTag holders, so they can be 
affixed to things like keychains, luggage, etc. Of course you could stuff it 
inside a pocket, but this solution may not always work.
This is just an FYI.
 If anyone is aware of third-party AirTag holding devices, I would be 
interested to learn how expensive these are. I believe the ones from Apple are 
not necessarily an expensive.

First, Screen Recognition came in with iOS 14 though it was seldom talked about 
until iOS 15.

To have it show up in Quick Settings, you have to first turn it on under 
Settings, Accessibility, VoiceOver, VoiceOver Recognition.
If it is not on there, it will not be in Quick Settings.

I tested this by turning it off under VoiceOver Recognition and sure enough, it 
disappeared from Quick Settings.
When I turned it back on in VoiceOver Recognition, I had to reboot the phone 
before it showed up again in quick Settings.  Not sure why, but that is what I 
did.

My recommendation is don’t have it in the rotor, but just in quick settings.  
There are other settings you may find it better to have in Quick Settings 
instead of in the Rotor.

Once again to review, quick Settings is launched with a 2 finger quadruple tap. 
 It functions like the rotor, but since you have to be more intentional about 
bringing it up, you won’t find yourself changing voice speaking rate when you 
wanted to jump by headings, etc.

You can also enable Screen Recognition for specific apps once you figure out it 
helps in that app by going into VoiceOver Recognition, Screen Recognition and 
double tapping on apps, and selecting the apps for which you want it to default 
to on.

I will be undertaking some travel in the next several months, and would like to 
acquire a good battery backup solution for my MagSafe device.
I am seeking recommendations for this. Should MagSafe or wired battery back ups

this to Apple Accessibility, and they replied that they were unable to

within voice dream reader, connecting to Book Share does not offer downloads option

dream reader app. Search results revealed a book I would like, but there does 
not appear to be a download option.
Is there a workaround? Or is there a new problem that has developed? This is

I am taking a course which requires students to listen to an audio file on 
sound cloud. When I go there with Safari, I do not get anything that I can use 
that’s accessible. Does anyone know if SoundCloud is accessible from an iPhone, 
and if so, which browser or browsers work?

For the last month, since changing from an exchange mail account to my current 
outlook.com account, 50% of messages from this list are consistently going to 
the junk folder. Every time I go to the junk folder select all and move to the 
inbox. This has not had an affect to resolve this issue. Does anyone have any

well, at the moment, I am limited to my iPhone. I am not using a PC or Mac 
currently. So, hopefully, there will be a YouTube to MP3 converter that can be

Is this an app or a website? I have searched the Apple App Store for this just 
now, several times in fact, and nothing seems to come up.

is anyone using the app file browser?

I am increasingly frustrated with using the Files app for accessing my iCloud 
Drive. Recently, I have heard someone mention the app file browser. Does anyone 
on this list have experience with this app? Is it recommended?
