Re: Off topic! brand new to the mac and vo...tutorials for dummies?

2013-01-03 Thread Rob Harris
Yes to all of that; complete start over, though some concept remain the
same as they're both computers.
Do google searches, I know there's tons of podcasts, text tutorials and so
on out there to get you going.

I am interested in getting a mac sometime in the future...but i've
never touched a mac before. I've never seen one, and never messsed
with vo! So, are there tutorials/podcasts or anything for the newbie?
Is vo extremely different from jaws? Is the mac's operating system
strikingly different than windows?

2013-01-02 Thread Reinhard Stebner
Follow the below steps to subscribe to this group:

Enter the following URL in the address bar of your browser:
http://groups.google.com/group/mojolicious/boxsubscribe?email=myid

Replace 'mojolicious' with the name of the group you want to join (for
example macvisionaries), and replace myid with the email address you want to
use. You should get a confirmation email verifying that you really want to
join this group.

Please let me know if this helps.

2013-01-02 Thread David Chittenden
The answer is yes to all three of your questions.

There are several podcasts on the mac and Voice-Over on www.blindcooltech.com
which demonstrate how to use the mac. Also, you can find podcasts from other
websites.

Though VO and the mac are different, they are readily useable. I switched to
the mac in October 2011 and use it and my iPhone exclusively. I am a doctoral
candidate and use both products for my research and significant amounts of
writing.
