9 bucks is more than acceptable for a service such a YouTube,  but I don’t use 
the app that much to be honest.  However,  Every once in a while when I got 
caught up in a long interview or something of that kind, the ads jump in  
obtrusively and sickeningly. In the past there used to be one-time-payment apps 
that worked really well. This is the reason I’m asking for, but probably they 
were taken away.

The only effective way to get rid of ads on YouTube is just to subscribe to it. 
If you use YouTube a lot, the monthly subscription’s the only way to go, and 
doesn’t cost much more than the ad blocker you may subscribe to. After all, 
YouTube is a business. So, naturally it depends on advertising.

The only effective way to get rid of ads on YouTube is just to subscribe to it. 
If you use YouTube a lot, the monthly subscription’s the only way to go, and 
doesn’t cost much more than the ad blocker you may subscribe to. After all, 
YouTube is a business. So, naturally it depends on advertising.

I have the subscription and consider it worthwhile. Also nice to be able to 
play videos in the background while the screen is locked.

I very much doubt there will be an effective ad blocker app.
