You can also go to the discover tab, choose your network, and watch it there. Direct tv Now has improved dramatically over the last 6 months. It use to be horrible, almost unusable on IOS, but do able on appleTV, now it is excellent on iPhone and iPad. Even has tabs along the bottom with categories, and sections of each channel that allow you to watch the 72 hour rewind if that channel has it available. I have the Toshiba Fire TV and get rather frustrated on trying to get to channels that I want to watch. I like to watch Fox News Channel. I have Direct TV Now which is very accessible. However, it seems that you have to go channel by channel. Alexa doesn’t seem to be able to access all channels or am I missing something? I was referring to Direct TV Now, it was horrible on both the iPhone and the Apple TV. I thought updates would maybe fix the issues, but that never happened. When I finally gave up on it, it was because I could not get it to work by myself and I really hate having to ask a sighted person to set my TV channel that I am interested in watching. I am using Cox for my service, and you can get something called voice guide. The only thing it doesn’t read is the apps available. But it is quite expensive. If you are talking about traditional Direct TV, If you have ghe Genie receiver, it is accessible with their talking guide. About the only thing you can’t do is some of the settings. If you are talking about the IPhone app, it is totally accessible. If you ar talking about Direct TV Now, as I stated earlier, the IPhone app is totally accessible, and the Apple TV app is accessible except for the guide...and if you work at it real hard you can get some of it to read. I had DTN back when they first came out with it, and it was totally accessible, so hopefully they will fix the ATV app. In my area Spectru is $21.99 .. plus $3 for local subscriber fees .. and then local taxes .. We pay $21.99 plus tax for the Spectrum choose 10 plus local channels. When we had Direct TV, I as a blind user could not use it myself. Not sure what the best streaming service is but I use direct tv now app on apple tv and Iphone and fire tv.
