RE: Can't Unlock SE 2020
Also, if all it says is iPhone SE you would have to know which iPhone SE it is based on when you bought it. Alternatively, you can double tap on the model number which consists of letters and numbers and you then get a 4-digit model number with the letter "A" in front of it. On my iPhone 13 Pro the model number is MLUP3VC/A and when I double tap on it I get A2636. If you Google that 4-digit model number with A in front, you can find out which phone you have. In my case, if I Google "iPhone A2636" I find websites including one from Apple which allows you to identify your phone, but many sites also list all the other models of iPhone 13 Pro which are available around the world. For example, the A2636 which I have has the following description: The iPhone 13 Pro A2636 is the model available in Canada, Japan, Mexico and Saudi Arabia. Notice that the Japanese model still has a camera shutter sound and we can’t disable it. This model supports dual eSIM and dual SIM with an eSIM and a nano-SIM card. In addition to that model, the iPhone 13 Pro also comes as A2483, A2638, A2639 and A2640. A2483: The iPhone 13 Pro A2483 is on sale exclusively in the United States. This is the most desirable model because it is the only model supporting 5G mmWave network. The look is slightly different as it has a side cutout for the 5G antenna. It has Dual SIM capability with nano-SIM and eSIM and it also supports Dual eSIM. A2638: The iPhone 13 Pro A2638 is the most popular edition as it is on sale in the UK, South America, Asia, Europe, Africa, and Australia. This model supports Dual SIM (nano‑SIM and eSIM) and Dual eSIM. If you buy the Korean version, it has a shutter sound when taking photos. A2639: The iPhone 13 Pro A2639 is the version in China mainland, Hong Kong, and Macau. Similar to previous years, the Chinese iPhone disables FaceTime Audio and Wi-Fi calling while this is not a problem for Hong Kong model. This is the only model supporting dual nano-SIM cards. A2640: The iPhone 13 Pro A2640 is on sale in Russia and some other countries. This version offers some Russian apps during initial setup as required by local regulations. It supports Dual SIM (nano‑SIM and eSIM) and Dual eSIM. If you go to the Identify your iPhone model<https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT201296> website from Apple, you can look up the model numbers of all iPhones all the way back to the original iPhone introduced in 2007. It lists the model numbers, a bit of other information, when it was introduced and each model has a link to the technical specifications for that phone where you can find things like which chip it has, iOS version when released, dimensions and weight etc. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com<mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com> mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com>> On Behalf Of Jonathan Cohn Sent: Friday, August 18, 2023 4:54 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com<mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com> Subject: Re: Can't Unlock SE 2020 Hello, OK, if my iPhone lists SE as the model in the about area of settings, does this mean I don’t have the SE2020? There are 3 models of iPhone SE by now, the original (1st Generation) was released in March 2016, the SE 2nd Gen in March of 2020 and the SE 3rd Gen in March of 2022. Each of these SE models has the same chip as the phones released in September prior, so the Se 1st Gen has the same chip as the iPhone 6S/6S Plus which were released in September 2015, the iPhone Se 2nd Gen (2020) has the same chip as the iPhone 11/11 Pro/11 Pro Max released in September 2019 and the Se 3rd Gen (2022) has the same chip as the iPhone 13/13 Mini/13 Pro/13 Pro Max which were released in September 2021. Jonathan, the iPhone SE 2020 and the iPhone 11 are almost identical as far as performance is concerned, they both have Apple's A13 chip and the only difference is that the iPhone 11 has 4 Gb of RAM and the iPhone SE 2020 has only 3 Gb, but I doubt this makes a lot of difference for many day-to-day types of use. The main differences are in the size, the camera and the fact that the iPhone SE has Touch Id instead of Face Id. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com On Behalf Of Jonathan Cohn Sent: Wednesday, August 16, 2023 3:17 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: Can't Unlock SE 2020 Actually, I am feeling sure that with the SC 2020 you cannot tell Siri to stop while it is active unless you’re using AirPod pros. Actually, I am feeling sure that with the SC 2020 you cannot tell Siri to stop while it is active unless you’re using AirPod pros. This is because the processing is not powerful enough to separate voice input from the sound output. Certainly my wife’s iPhone 11 can do this though. Yes, you can tell Siri "Stop" if music is playing and it will stop it and also "play" will start it playing again. This also works fo rme if I am using Audible to listen to a book, it seems that the "play" and "stop" commands work with whatever was playing last. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com On Behalf Of joseph hudson Sent: Tuesday, August 15, 2023 8:53 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: Can't Unlock SE 2020 Margaret, I hope you're still on this list. Re: Can't Unlock SE 2020
Well, a two finger double tap will definitely stop music if you are in the music app and VoiceOver is on. But incoming calls and facebook along with some other apps will cause that gesture to do something else. In any case, it sounds like you figured it out. > On Jun 2, 2023, at 9:06 AM, Margaret Thomas wrote: > > That did the trick, Joseph. Thank you. have you tried asking siri to reboot this device? - Original Message - From: "Margaret Thomas" To: "V iPhone list" Sent: Friday, June 2, 2023 6:43 AM Subject: Can't Unlock SE 2020 Hi, All: I hope someone can help me unlock my iPhone 2020. The phone was working fine before the trouble started. I got into this mess by wondering what Siri would say if I said should I bring my umbrella. Music started playing. I do virtually nothing with music and thought a two finger double tap would turn it off. I may not have been doing the gesture correctly, but it didn't stop the music. More tries with no success. Tried saying different versions of stop with no luck. At one point tried turning off the phone with no joy. Moved the mute button with no luck. Saying cancel music stopped the music, but now, it says VoiceOver is turned on; that it is unmuted but that nothing is playing. When I move my finger around the screen I hear clicking noises. If I ask Siri to go to messages, for example, it says you must unlock the phone first. The home button won't budge. I have it charging. That did the trick, Joseph. Thank you. The screen to put in my pass code came up with the phone talking and phone life is good again. For future reference, was my memory correct that a two finger double tap if done correctly should stop the music playing? Is there a verbal command to stop music playing? Re: Can't Unlock SE 2020
First the mute button doesn't have any effect on voiceover, so don't worry about that. What I think must have happened is that your voiceover volume got turned all the way down. As for why the home button won't press, I have no clue about that. Maybe a call to apple accessibility? Sorry I can't be more helpful. Hope you get it sorted out. Can't Unlock SE 2020
Hi, All: I hope someone can help me unlock my iPhone 2020.
