Sorry, I didn't know they'd changed the website. How odd that you can't change
payment details that way anymore.

Subject: RE: Changing credit card on iTunes

You can’t update your payment information at http://AppleID.apple.com. I think
it would make sense if you could, but you can’t. Below is what you can do and
this is copied directly from the website after I logged in:

Edit your Apple ID.

You can make changes to your Apple ID at any time. Change your Apple ID and
password, change your name and email address, or update your contact
information.

Name, ID and Email Addresses

Password and Security

Addresses

Phone Numbers

Language and Contact Preferences

The 5 items above are tabs one can click and then you can see and, if you wish,
modify the information that is there, but nowhere is billing information an
option.

As far as doing this in iTunes 12, it more or less works as before (at least as
far as I remember). Here is what I do, it’s very accessible and relatively easy
to accomplish this:

1. Go to the Store menu, arrow down to “View Account”, you can use Alt+S
for the Store menu and “v” to go to “View Account”.

2. Wait for a bit while the store loads, it may help to refresh the
screen with Jaws Key+Escape.

3. Once the store has loaded, you should see “iTunes Store” at the very
top, arrow down once or twice and it will say “Secure Connection”, then arrow
down again and you find a heading level 1 called “Account Information”, right
underneath is a heading level 2 “Apple Id Summary”. Here you see your Apple Id
email, there is an edit link for that and then information as to whether you
have family sharing enabled. After that comes your payment information, your
credit card is listed with the last 4 numbers showing and once again this is
following by an edit link.

4. Activate the link, wait a moment and use Jaws Key+Escape to refresh
the screen, then go to the very top with Control+Home and now use “h” or “1” to
jump to the first heading. You can of course also down arrow, but the heading
will say “Edit Payment Information”. For me it then says the following:

All family members share the payment method shown below. Codes you redeem will
be applied only to your individual account.

Not sure if this is displayed if family sharing is not enabled, but next comes
“Please select a payment method” which is followed by 4 radio buttons which
indicate which card you want to use:

Visa

Mastercard

American Express

None

The ‘None” option is something I hadn’t noticed before, I guess you can check
it if you don’t want to use a credit card and instead rely on iTunes gift cards
for purchases. I believe in the States there might be a Paypal option, but I’m
in Canada and what I listed above is all we get here.

5. Next is an edit field again showing the last 4 digits of your current
card. Note that even though this is a web page, Jaws will not automatically go
into forms mode and you have to press enter on this field if you want to enter
a new card number. The same applies for the combo boxes for selecting your
card’s expiry month and year, press enter first or Alt+Down Arrow to open the
combo boxes, make your selection and then use Alt+Up arrow to select it and
close the combo box. Alternatively, once you pressed enter to get into the edit
field for the credit card number, you can tab into the month combo box, then
tab again into the year combo box and lastly tab a last time to get into the
security code (CVV) edit field where you enter your card’s 3-digit security
code.

6. When you have updated the information, make sure you go to the “Done”
button a bit further down and activate it.

This all is quite accessible and easily accomplished with Jaws and, I assume,
with other screenreaders as well and I find it easier then to try and find an
Apple website where you can do this. If that is what you want to do, you can go
to the following website and use the link I mentioned because, as I said above,
you can’t do it at the AppleId.Apple.com website:

http://www.apple.com/shop/account/home

Find the link called “Change your default shipping or billing info
<https://secure.store.apple.com/shop/account/setup/start> ”, then sign in with
your Apple Id and password and go from there.

Best regards,

Sieghard

Changing credit card on iTunes

2015-09-05 Thread Rose Combs
I have to change credit card info with Apple stores as I received a
different card with different account number. I did this last when I had
iTunes 11 and it was simple, however, I am unable to find how to do this on
iTunes 12.2 . and wonder how I can accomplish this. Would prefer to use
computer for these numbers if possible. BT keyboard not connecting to
iPhone.

Thanks in advance.

appstore/featured, right at the end is your apple id and maybe a credit
balance. Tap that. There's a button about check account, you will have to
give your apple id password. Then under there is a link near the top about
account information, shows card type or whatever payment method you use. So
change it all in there, tap Done when finished.

Can you do this on the phone??? Or do you have to use ITunes on the
computer. My Jaws, XP, and Itunes don't talk to each other very well, even
 using the Blind Tunes scripts.

If this can be done on the phone, where do I look? I can't find anything
called ITunes store. The only place I see my Apple ID is in Settings.

Re: Changing credit card in ITunes

2013-10-18 Thread Eileens Misrahi
Hello,

Yes, you can change your account card from the phone. Here is how I do it:

1. Open the app store from the home page.
2. at the bottom, tap on features tab.
3. I use a 4 finger tap to bring focus to the bottom of the screen and then
flick from right to left until I hear apple ID and my name. Tap on that.
4. Tap on view my account.
5. You will be asked for your password.
6. The next screen will be a button labeled payment. Tap on it. Now you just
need to change the credit card info. I just did this recently. You will receive
an email confirming if you were the one that made the change from Apple. HTH.
