Re: Deleting bookmarks in Safari
I just found a better way. Double tap the show bookmarks tab, and in there, double tap favorites. Find the one you want to delete, swipe down and delete it. Don't forget to double tap the back button, to get out of your favorites list. Re: Deleting bookmarks in Safari on an iPhone 5
Okay, so even if the action option appears allowing you to delete directly, it still seems like the edit button and delete buttons for each bookmark should work like they do in other apps, like in the Phone-Favorites area, or in TuneIN Radio. Oh well. Thanks for the responses, I completely forgot about he added action item in iOS 6. I'll try that. I've seen the delete confirmation button not work in some other apps. The other thing that works all the time is to double tap and hold, then slide. Then the confirmation button appears and the item stays deleted once the button is pressed. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Wayne Merritt Sent: Tuesday, May 21, 2013 9:56 AM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: Deleting bookmarks in Safari on an iPhone 5 Okay, so even if the action option appears allowing you to delete directly, it still seems like the edit button and delete buttons for each bookmark should work like they do in other apps, like in the Phone-Favorites area, or in TuneIN Radio. RE: Deleting bookmarks in Safari on an iPhone 5
Hi Wayne, I had a bookmark or 2 which I didn't need and I tried deleting them by going into Edit, then double tapping on the delete button and double tapping the Confirm button that pops up. This worked for me, but I have noticed in other places where this method is used that sometimes if you slide your finger just a bit as you double tap that focus moves away from the Confirm button and then it won't work. This is one example where the split tap works fairly well. Of course using the new method of a swipe down or up to change to delete and then a double tap is even easier. Deleting bookmarks in Safari on an iPhone 5
Greetings all. I have tried to delete the bookmarks in Safari on my iPhone 5 running iOS 6.1.4, but have had trouble. I consider myself an intermediate iPhone user, so I'm sure I'm missing something simple. I have tried double tapping the edit button, double tapping the delete button on the bookmark I want to erase, and then double tapping the confirmation that I want to delete that item. However, after I double tap the done button, the bookmark is still there. For what it's worth, I generally leave Safari open all the time on my iPhone so I can access it whenever. Now that I am using my iPhone for mobile browsing when away from work, I've got some bookmarks that were added initially when I started with the iPhone that I am ready to get rid of. Help. Re: Deleting bookmarks in Safari on an iPhone 5
As you are using the latest version of iOS, after activating the edit button, turn your rotor to actions. Use the single-finger vertical flick whilst on the actual bookmark name. When VO says delete, double-tap. The bookmark will be removed. Note: I do not know if this works with bookmarks which come with Safari. Re: Deleting bookmarks in Safari on an iPhone 5
I went into Safari and then bookmarks. I went down the list and found a book mark I did not need, I flicked up with one finger, voice over said delete, I double tapped the screen and the book mark is gone. RE: Deleting bookmarks in Safari on an iPhone 5
Hi, I have an iPhone 5 running the latest upgrade. When I go into Safari, then Bookmarks, once I put my finger on the preloaded Bing, for example, with the link name announced but without opening it, I do a one finger flick down and get an announcement that says the Delete option. A one finger double tap will delete it, or if you want to keep it just do a finger flick up. At least that's how mine seems to work.
