Re: Dictating without the dictation button -- how to do it?

2013-09-23 Thread Kimber Gardner
That's odd since I had sighted help confirm that the dictation button
was not appearing on the screen.

Furthermore, when I attempt to double tap while in an edit field I
never hear the tone indicating to begin dictating. Rather what usually
happens is music will start playing.

I'm running ios7 on a 4s. This is a pretty bug bug for me since I use
dictation quite a lot when texting or writing short emails.

Any clue what I may be doing wrong?

RE: Dictating without the dictation button -- how to do it?

2013-09-22 Thread Margaret Booth
Hi! Kimba

What you need to do is to go to the edit field that you want to dictate in
and double tap on it to activate the edit field. Once the edit field is
activated do a two finger double tap in the edit field and wait until you
hear a tone and start dictating your message and once finished do another
two finger double tap. Your message will be put into the edit field. I hope
this helps.

Margaret

Re: Dictating without the dictation button -- how to do it?

2013-09-22 Thread Troy Sullivan
I have too noticed this, like for example if I am leaving a voicemail,
sometimes the 2 finger doubletap would take so long to respond that
sometimes the voicemail wouldn't go through because it would take me to the
options screen and sometimes people wouldn't get my voicemails, now it hangs
up right away and answers right away too, I like that.
