Re: Find My Friends with IOS 12.1.4
I have used it to locate family as well. When the person is traveling, you can view a constantly updating map of their location as they move. I don't recall if you have to double tap the person's name, or if the map shows up automatically. When trying to find someone, I usually go to the bottom of the screen and flick left, then double tap their name. Wayne On 3/9/19, Dave Jones wrote: > Hello there, I use it all of the time. Find My Friends with IOS 12.1.4
Hello to the list. I had been curious to know if the App, sometimes called Find Friends, sometimes called Find My Friends, works well with Voiceover. I did not have to download the app, it appeared to be pre-installed on the iPhone. When I had established a contact to share their location, I looked around on the app, found the contacts phone number, and Voiceover spoke, 1 mile away, or 2 miles away, and so on. However it would be far more preferable to get a precise intersection, address, or something more helpful than just how many miles away. If anyone has worked with this app, and knows any secrets, I would sure appreciate hearing about it. Thanks a lot. -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list. hello everyone, I'm trying to set up find my firends with my partner and his phone. I've got us both added to each others phone. and I've set up notifications for him on my phone when I arive and leave a few locations but, for some reason he says he's not being pushed these notifications when I arive or leave these locations. I'm fairly sure I have everyting set up location tracking on both phones his and mine. and Ithink I have tracking set on both phones for each of us muchualy. Could someone who uses this ap tell me what I could possably be doing wrong? I initaly set this up because he's a expedite driver so this way I know where he is and put me on his so he knows hwne I'm at home or church (the 2 locations I added) but, I'm not sure why he's not been getting the notifications. I guess I should have been more specific. Some of my family members also have iPhones. Is it possible using only voice over to track my family members on my iPhone? We have used this in situations where other family members were tracking me. Now, if possible, I want to reverse the process. Re: find my friends and Geofences?
I have had a similar problem with find my friends. In my case it meant that people had set notifications to see when I left or arrived at a particular place. You can see if you have notifications set or if friends have set notifications to track your location. Double-tap the me button then tap notifications and see if anything is listed. If you have set notifications you can hit the edit button and delete them. If a friend has set them you will see who has set them and you could ask that person to remove them if necessary. -- Earle On Mar 22, 2014, at 1:15 AM, adam morris wrote: > Hi all, > > somehow in find my friends I have it set up so it monitors my location with a > geoFence. > > I can't seem to turn it off unless I go in and turn find my friends location > service icon off. > There must be a way to have find my friends location services on but not the > geofence. > > Ideas? find my friends and Geofences?
Hi all, somehow in find my friends I have it set up so it monitors my location with a geoFence. I can't seem to turn it off unless I go in and turn find my friends location service icon off. There must be a way to have find my friends location services on but not the geofence. Ideas? I've looked in the app, it says tracking is off but it isn't the most vo friendly app. -- Adam Morris Phone: +61 2 888 93939 email: a...@damorris.com For email lists I run, visit: http://damorris.com/mailman/listinfo -- The following information is important for all members of the viphone list. I use this app all the time.. Then again, I have a lot of friends I like to keep track of. lol It does have its accessibility issues but they can be overcome. Looking for an app similar to "Find My Friends"
Hello: Can anyone recommend an app that would enable me to track another IPhone/Android user similar to "Find My Friends", however with the hiking enthusiast in mind. What I am invisioning is an app that rather than giving me a street address of the other IPhone, it would give me precise direction and distance preferable down to feet and yards to the other IPhone. "Find my friends will give me distance, but down to a mile or so, and NEVER give me any kind of direction, again preferable in degrees. Further, find my friends seems to rely very heavily on actual street addresses since that is what it was designed for. Any recommendations gladly appreciated. Re: Find My Friends
Hi Tom, One of you should set up a separate Apple ID for iCloud. This will give you each your own iCloud storage and will allow you to use iMessage and Find My Friends separately. You can still share an ID for purchase s. To do this, one of you should go to iCloud and choose the Account button. If you are currently sharing an account, they'll need to delete this account from their iPhone and then set up another one. Find my friends error
Hi all, I want to growl at my iPhone! Lol! Find my friends has been working just find the last day or so, then today I get an error after entering my appleID password. It says something about my ID being correct, but my device not being supported for a free iCloud account. There is a learn more button which brings me to learning about mobile me. Any advice here? I've never been a mobile me subscriber and I haven't had any problems thous far with iCloud or find my friends.
