Re: How to find the videos that are supposedly on my iPad

2023-11-01 Thread Mary Otten
No. I’m not talking about videos in the Photos app. I have no videos in my
Photos app, just a very few photos. I’m talking about audible books being
mistakenly identified as videos when you are in settings and go to the media
type thing, view downloaded Videos I think it says. I can’t remember. It’s the
thing that richard talked about how to go and find your videos. It’s also what
Gerardo mentioned in a previous note where he said that he had audible books
miss identified as videos. Hope that clarifies.

 Mary,
One thing to try is to open the Photos app, and select the albums tab.
There is a heading called Media Types. Perhaps it will identify videos.
If not, then check further under General, iPhone Storage.
If you keep flicking right through the iPhone storage, you eventually come
to a couple things that may help, review large attachments, and review
 downloaded videos and audios.
It is less than an efficient way to find stuff.

 Hi folks,
I have an iPad mini, and to the best of my knowledge, I never download
videos. I have none on my iPhone. Yet for the longest time now, whenever I
go to check the amount of storage being used on my device, it tells me I
have 12 videos. I would love to find them and get rid of them since I
don’t want them, but I have not been able to figure out how to do that.
 Any ideas?

What a puzzle. I'm not even sure Apple could explain it. At least you can be
sure they aren't videos.

Well, when I did find that thing for all downloaded audios and videos, I saw
eight of them. They were all audible books, and they all said watched or
partially watched or not watched, implying, as Gerardo said, that the damn
thing thinks their videos. So there are eight audiobooks from audible. Of
course I have more than eight audible books on my iPad, so where are the other
ones? What about all the bar books they are also audio. I don’t get it. Oh well
I guess it’s just a big mystery.

2023-10-31 Thread Mary Otten
I certainly have audiobooks downloaded, but also on my phone, where I have no
videos noted in the “about “section. It’s a definite head scratcher.

Hi folks,
I have an iPad mini, and to the best of my knowledge, I never download videos.
I have none on my iPhone. Yet for the longest time now, whenever I go to check
the amount of storage being used on my device, it tells me I have 12 videos. I
would love to find them and get rid of them since I don’t want them, but I have
not been able to figure out how to do that. Any ideas?

RE: How to find the videos that are supposedly on my iPad

2023-10-31 Thread Richard Turner
Mary,
One thing to try is to open the Photos app, and select the albums tab.
There is a heading called Media Types. Perhaps it will identify videos. If
not, then check further under General, iPhone Storage.
If you keep flicking right through the iPhone storage, you eventually come to a
couple things that may help, review large attachments, and review downloaded
videos and audios.
It is less than an efficient way to find stuff.

HTH,

Richard, USA.
