RE: Bluetooth keyboards on iPhone X and IOs 11.2

2017-12-04 Thread pablocmd2014
I found on a web page some tips to fix the Bluetooth problems in IOs 11.x.
However after I fixed my problem, I am finding that the problem reappear if I
try to use the Bluetooth keyboard in a different app. Then I had to turn off
the keyboard, and turn it on again. I have found a lot of pages talking about
this problem, and I am a little bit surprise that none of you have this problem?
How often you use a Bluetooth keyboard?

I'd sell it to you, Len, but I don't think you could afford it. But wait a few
weeks until Pablo is fed up with his iPhone X and he'll sell that to you for
$50 *smile*

RE: Bluetooth keyboards on iPhone X and IOs 11.2

2017-12-03 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Pablo, welcome back to the wonderful world of iOS, after your last trip down
Apple Street I thought you’d stay in Android Land forever. I don’t have a fancy
new iPhone X or even an 8 or 8 Plus, but on my trusty 6S Plus my Logitech K780
keyboard works fine. Have you checked on Applevis if there is any advice on
what might be going on here?
I know Mario posted something about “editing issues using bluetooth keyboards
on the iPhone 8/8 Plus”, but I’m not sure what exactly he is referring to. I
don’t use my keyboard all that much, but I have definitely used it to write
some emails and such and it seems to work fine.

Regards,
Sieghard

Bluetooth keyboards on iPhone X and IOs 11.2

2017-12-03 Thread Pablo Morales
Hello all,

I have an iPhone X, and I have tried to use 2 different Bluetooth keyboards
and for some reason I am not able to type characters, however I am able to
navigate using the Bluetooth keyboards.

One of the keyboards is a Logitech Bluetooth 3.0, and the second is an
apple keyboard. When I connect each one, the paring process is normal, and I
am able to navigate on the screen each keyboards. But when I try to type
characters, the iPhone beeps like saying error, for each character typed. So
I am not able to type anything with any of these keyboards. Maybe I need to
do something new to be able to type?

I don't know, but if I pair the keyboards to my apple TV, they work fine.

iPhone X uses Bluetooth 5, so I don't think it is a problem.

Re: Keyboards for iPhone.

2017-08-07 Thread Christopher Chaltain
This does seem to be a function of the keyboard. It sounds like a
contact is being made when pressing the space bar in the middle but not
on either end. I don't think there's anything the iPhone or any software
on the phone can do about this.

I like the bluetooth keyboard Anker puts out. Inexpensive, but good

Hello,

Could you give me the model number for the keyboard? I want to order one, but
don’t want the one with the back light.

Thank you.

RE: Keyboards for iPhone.

2017-08-03 Thread upliftfm
Hi
I've just purchased the IClever foldable keyboard and it's good. It pairs well,
has no lag that I can see. It's easy to use and is about £15 at present on
sale. No numpad. Folds to small. Comes with pouch. The backlit version is twice
the price and does not last long battery wise.

it's not small, but i like the matias bluetooth keyboard. It is a full size
keyboard, including numpad. It does not fold. It looks a lot like the Apple
keyboard. It can pair to 4 devices.

RE: Keyboards for iPhone.

2017-08-03 Thread Richard Turner
How small is small?
I just got the Logitech K480. It can connect to three separate devices
including Windows or Android. There is a dial to select the device you want.
It is under $30 at Amazon.
There is a nice carrying case that is about $20.

I used to recommend the AmazonBasics, but it hasn't been available for 6 months
and looks unlikely to come back.

Re: Blue Tooth keyboards for iPhone 4S

2013-04-03 Thread Alan Paganelli
I have had my Amazon Basics Bluetooth keyboard now for several days. For a
keyboard that set me back $26.99 and free shipping, I couldn't be happier. The
keyboard is roughly 10 inches by 5 inches and less then 3/4 of an inch. I also
bought the Adore June keyboard case. I was surprised that the keyboard case
for 19 bucks plus change is actually made well. The outer cover is black
canvas. It's a soft material and not rough like one would expect it to be.
Inside the case is a soft material they call a kind of fleece. There is room
in the bag for the Amazon Basics keyboard and maybe an extra set of triple (A)
batteries. At first the keyboard fits in the case a bit tight but I suspect
over time this will ease up the more you remove and put the keyboard back in
and out of the bag.

The way the bag closes is there is a flap that folds over the keyboard and is
held closed with a Velcro patch on both ends. To open, peal the flap up and
back. The keyboard then is sitting inside the case with the typing keys face
up. I find it easy to pinch the bottom of the case with my thumb and index
finger and then pull out using my other hand about in the top center of the
keyboard. Rock the keyboard from side to side a bit and it will slide out and
it's in the right position for use. If I remember right, the regular price of
the keyboard is $45. It's still on special for 26 dollars and change. I have
no clue how wide ladies purses are on the list but if you can fit one of these
in a purse then by all means get one along with the case. Note: the case will
protect the keyboard inside from minor bumps etc. If you give it a real hard
knock like falling down and landing on it, it may or may not survive but if
that's the case, your iPhone might not either!

Sorry for making a commercial for the keyboard here. It's just that it's a
really nice keyboard. The keys are wide enough that typing on the keyboard
shouldn't be any problem.

I happen to use the HP touchpad wireless keyboard. It's pretty good. I like
the fact that it actually has a switch to turn the keyboard on and off rather
than a button, like the Apple one. I was constantly turning it on and draining
the batteries while carrying it around in my purse.

  Thanks,

For you, I would recommend the Apple blue tooth keyboard. You can get it
at the Apple store on Ste Catherine street. I can give you the address. They

to the door and welcoming people. You certainly will get all the help you

a keyboard with the numeric pad on and I seem to remember that it costs about
$69 in Canada.

Hi there. If you are looking for a bigger size keyboard there are several
options. Verbatim makes one, Amazon basics is another, the Apple Bluetooth
keyboard, and the Logitech Bluetooth keyboard. You might give the list archives
a search for these brands as they have been talked about recently on list. The
verbatim keyboard folds, and the other three do not. All of them are Bluetooth,
all of them will work with your iPhone, and some have more features than
others. For example, the Logitech Bluetooth keyboard will pair with more than
one device. The Apple Bluetooth keyboard is the official and recommended
keyboard but is more expensive. The Amazon basics Bluetooth keyboard is a
cheaper solution and I have recorded a podcast on it. Now that I think about
it, the Logitech keyboard is a little higher in price as well. However like I
said it depends on what features you want. Other people will have some
suggestions here on list, but I highly recommend searching the list archives
for other discussions since they are fairly recent.

using really like the Ankar KC1280 Bluetooth Keyboard. I'm not sure exactly
where it came from as my son purchased it for me for Christmas. I do know that
it came from Amazon but what I'm saying is that I don't know if it came
directly or from 1 of their stores, etc. If any further information is needed
please feel free to contact me.

RE: Blue Tooth keyboards for iPhone 4S

2013-04-02 Thread Ron Pelletier
Hi Simon,

For you, I would recommend the Apple blue tooth keyboard. You can get it at
the Apple store on Ste Catherine street. I can give you the address. They
are very good at helping us in that store. Usually, the manager is quite
close to the door and welcoming people. You certainly will get all the help
you need. When you go, have your phone with you and they will pair the
keyboard for you. I realize that the Apple keyboard doesn't fold but it is
not that big and it is very thin. You will find it comfortable to work on.
You don't need a keyboard with the numeric pad on and I seem to remember
that it costs about $69 in Canada.

Hi there. If you are looking for a bigger size keyboard there are several
options. Verbatim makes one, Amazon basics is another, the Apple Bluetooth
keyboard, and the Logitech Bluetooth keyboard. You might give the list
archives a search for these brands as they have been talked about recently
on list. The verbatim keyboard folds, and the other three do not. All of
them are Bluetooth, all of them will work with your iPhone, and some have
more features than others. For example, the Logitech Bluetooth keyboard will
pair with more than one device. The Apple Bluetooth keyboard is the official
and recommended keyboard but is more expensive. The Amazon basics Bluetooth
keyboard is a cheaper solution and I have recorded a podcast on it. Now that
I think about it, the Logitech keyboard is a little higher in price as well.
However like I said it depends on what features you want. Other people will
have some suggestions here on list, but I highly recommend searching the
list archives for other discussions since they are fairly recent.

Re: Blue Tooth keyboards for iPhone 4S

2013-04-02 Thread Arianna
I happen to use the HP touchpad wireless keyboard. It's pretty good. I like the
fact that it actually has a switch to turn the keyboard on and off rather than
a button, like the Apple one. I was constantly turning it on and draining the
batteries while carrying it around in my purse.

Thanks,
Ari

Maybe so, but I like to take a look at things like keyboards before I
buy them, and I did find the Verbatim keyboard at Radio Shack, where I
bought it. I'm not sure where these other keyboards could be found, but
I'd guess places like Fry's, Best Buy and so on. Google might help
here.phone mi

Hi,

Why not just order them online? I'm assuming thats what the majority of people
who own bluetooth keyboards would have done.

Other people will have some
suggestions here on list, but I highly recommend searching the list archives
for o

ther discussions since they are fairly recent.

Hi all,
I'm interested in purchasing a blue tooth keyboard for the iPhone 4S but
would have no idea where to start.
I'm looking for something almost computer sized. Is this even a possible
option?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Kindly,
Kayla K
