RE: help with Kings corner app please

Also I’ve found that if you slide the card with your pointer finger and point
right to the spot where you want the card to end up it seems to work better. I
play the game almost every day. SMILE. Don’t know what that says about me.

God bless!

Yes, sometimes the card doesn't move; but a couple retries and it moves just
fine for me.

The double tap and hold then drag without breaking contact with the screen is
the gesture.

The game is by Bitpress.

I played Kings corner for quite some time but had the same problem that I’m
having now. When I go to play a card and I double tap on it and hold it and
move it to drop it it doesn’t drop under card that I want to put it on. Is
there a workaround for this? Is it a double tap and hold? Do I have the right
game? I saw a lot of different ones but I chose to download, I should say
re-download, the one that I had before. I really like the game, but I’m really
frustrated with not being able to move the cards properly. Thanks for any help

In Kings corner you play against the computer and can set different

levels, easy-difficult.

It begins with in a square formation card spots and each corner is empty
awaiting a king.

The spots in between the corners are played much as you do in basic solitaire,
alternating red and black, adding these piles to the corners when they fit the
next spot on pile, once a king is down.

Objective of using up your cards, of which you get a new one each round across
the bottom of the screen.

hello,

I purchased the Kings corner app on the recommendation of several people from
this list. I have studied the rules and the gameplay in Wikipedia.

I am at a total loss on how to play the game within the app. Can someone please
provide some guidance to allow me to get started?

Thanks in advance. Keith

I have sent notes about this problem for a while now. It started after one of
the updates, but it’s been so long now that I forgotten which one it was. That
card on the left, especially, you have to watch because it will tell you it’s
taking the one that you wanted and when you get it over to the spot you find it
was a whole Nother card entirely :-( Lose a lot of games that way. :-) Perhaps
it is something in the tracking and can be fixed in one of the main updates so
that the app itself does not have to be updated. Here’s hoping they get it
though. I love the game, but it annoys me when it takes the wrong card. Or
won’t take it at all.

If you go into menus you can sit to play against the computer, against somebody

the number of people in your game. So you have quite a leeway which type of

RE: help with Kings corner app please

2022-08-10 Thread MamaPeach
I got this from someone a long time ago, so I hope the game hasn't changed much
since I got this, but maybe it will help you.

In Kings corner you play against the computer and can set different levels,
easy-difficult.

Keith

Re: help with Kings corner app please

2022-08-09 Thread Richard Turner
The way you move the cards is to do a double tap and hold on the card and slide
it to where you want it.
VoiceOver will sleak the card you are putting it on.

2022-08-09 Thread Joney Owen
Kings corner is a great app! They’re having some problems right now with the
very left hand card not always behaving itself. But it’s a wonderful app. I’ve
played it for years. All Kings go in the corners no matter when you get them
they’re placed in each corner The other cards go down red or black as she would
normally playing solitaire you are not playing the same suit in the corners as
you would for example you could have a king of hearts and he would put a queen
of spades on top of it and that way you can move all of the cards to the
corners you were also not trying to fill up all those kings as you would in
normal Solitaire. The goal of this game is to end up with no cards in your
hand. The person who does that first, is the winner. I love to play the
computer, and have it on the most difficult when I can. Sometimes, I’m
convinced that computer cheats. :-) Hope this helps.

Picture a square.
The Kings go in the corners.
In the middle spots between the kings are four places where the other cards
are laid out. The center is left empty.
So a potential of 8 piles of cards. Starting in the upper left you might
have, an empty king's spot, to the right a 3 of diamonds, to the right of
that in the upper right-hand corner another empty king's spot. In the
middle right you might have a jack of clubs, in the lower right another
empty king's spot.
In the bottom row middle, you might have a 5 of spades. IN the lower left
might be dealt a king of hearts or it could be another empty spot. Finally,
in the middle left spot you may have a 4 of spades.

It is like solitaire, where you have to place the cards in descending order
alternating between red and black.
So, in my example, starting off you could move the 3 of diamonds onto the 4
of spades. You double tap and hold on the card you want to move, wait for
the tones, then slide your finger on the card where you want to place that
card. Only places where it is legal to drop a card will speak. So, when
you slide the 3 of diamonds onto the 4 of spades, you will hear 4 of
spades spoken and lift your finger and that pile will now read, 4 of spades
to 3 of diamonds.
You now have an empty spot in the top middle, so you could move one of the 7
cards you were dealt to that location.
The ultimate goal is to run out of cards with as many empty spots as
possible.
On the king's in the corners, you place the queen, then jack etc. in
alternating colors.

I hope that helps,
Richard

Game centre and kings corner question

2014-03-29 Thread Tessa
They've fixed all the issues that appeared in the last update of kings
corner and I enjoy playing it, I'd like to try playing against people rather
than the computer, when I double tap on multiplayer game it asks me to
invite a friend, but I don't know anyone else who's playing LOL. Or I can
hit play now and it seems to search for players but never finds anyone. So,
how do I find people to play with. I think my game name is randipup. Thanks

Latest Kings Corner Update Work-around

2014-02-28 Thread Jeffrey Turner
Hello King's Corners fans,

I have just played a game successfully using the latest update, and would
disagree with the previous posts recommending that we avoid the update. It
is different, but still works just fine with a bit of extra tapping.

After you use the gesture to move a card on top of the target area, just
double tap an adjacent field and you will hear the sliding sound indicating
that the card has moved. Admittedly, it's different from what we're used to,
and the older way may have worked better for us, but it does still work.

I would love to see the developer implement the technique used in the
Chess-wise and Shredder chess games, where you would double tap a card to
select it, then double tap the target field, and the card would be moved. I
think this would be a lot easier than double tapping and holding, and then

Hello King's Corners fans,

I have just played a game successfully using the latest update, and would

Re: Latest Kings Corner Update Work-around

2014-02-28 Thread Tessa
This does not address the issue of cards not being announced, example moving
a four of diamonds out of the stock but when you go through the stock it
still shows the four as being there, A work around for this is to move a
card from one position in the stock to another, just take one from the back
and move it to the front or one from anywhere in the stock to anywhere else
and that will get the cards reading properly again.
The issue with cards on the board not reading properly is a larger pain and
is sometimes fixed when you place a card on another stack.

Hi, I have seen that too. I think the card does actually move the first time,
but voiceover doesn't reflect that.

If you do the move the second time, voiceover does become aware of the move.

Hope this helps,

Well, here I am again, having fun with games but being pretty clueless, too.
I'm having difficulty moving cards from one place to another in kings
corner. I know the suits are alternating and understand stacking from
larger down to smaller, but sometimes it seems like I should be able to
stack say, an ace of diamonds onto a 2 of spaids, but can't get the ace to
go there. Any thoughts? Thanks.

By the way, iYacht is great fun!

I can figure that one out. I guess there's still hope for me.

One more thing to remember is that VO will tell you if you can move the card
onto another. Let's say you had a two of diamonds out there. VO will anounce
two of diamonds if you have an ace of clubs or an ace of spades that you can
move.

Hope this helps,
