Also I’ve found that if you slide the card with your pointer finger and point right to the spot where you want the card to end up it seems to work better. I play the game almost every day. SMILE. I have sent notes about this problem for a while now. It started after one of the updates, but it’s been so long now that I forgotten which one it was. That card on the left, especially, you have to watch because it will tell you it’s taking the one that you wanted and when you get it over to the spot you find it was a whole Nother card entirely :-( Lose a lot of games that way. :-) Perhaps it is something in the tracking and can be fixed in one of the main updates so that the app itself does not have to be updated. Here’s hoping they get it though. I love the game, but it annoys me when it takes the wrong card. Or won’t take it at all. Re: help with Kings corner app please
The way you move the cards is to do a double tap and hold on the card and slide it to where you want it. VoiceOver will sleak the card you are putting it on. Re: help with Kings corner app please
Kings corner is a great app! They’re having some problems right now with the very left hand card not always behaving itself. But it’s a wonderful app. I’ve played it for years. All Kings go in the corners no matter when you get them they’re placed in each corner The other cards go down red or black as she would normally playing solitaire you are not playing the same suit in the corners as you would for example you could have a king of hearts and he would put a queen of spades on top of it and that way you can move all of the cards to the corners you were also not trying to fill up all those kings as you would in normal Solitaire. The goal of this game is to end up with no cards in your hand. The person who does that first, is the winner. I love to play the computer, and have it on the most difficult when I can. Sometimes, I’m convinced that computer cheats. :-) Hope this helps. help with Kings corner app please
hello, I purchased the Kings corner app on the recommendation of several people from this list. I have studied the rules and the gameplay in Wikipedia. In the middle right you might have a jack of clubs, in the lower right another empty king's spot. In the bottom row middle, you might have a 5 of spades. Only places where it is legal to drop a card will speak. So, when you slide the 3 of diamonds onto the 4 of spades, you will hear 4 of spades spoken and lift your finger and that pile will now read, 4 of spades to 3 of diamonds. Game centre and kings corner question
They've fixed all the issues that appeared in the last update of kings corner and I enjoy playing it, I'd like to try playing against people rather than the computer, when I double tap on multiplayer game it asks me to invite a friend, but I don't know anyone else who's playing LOL. Or I can hit play now and it seems to search for players but never finds anyone. So, how do I find people to play with. I think my game name is randipup. Latest Kings Corner Update Work-around
Hello King's Corners fans, I have just played a game successfully using the latest update, and would disagree with the previous posts recommending that we avoid the update. It is different, but still works just fine with a bit of extra tapping. After you use the gesture to move a card on top of the target area, just double tap an adjacent field and you will hear the sliding sound indicating that the card has moved. Admittedly, it's different from what we're used to, and the older way may have worked better for us, but it does still work. I would love to see the developer implement the technique used in the Chess-wise and Shredder chess games, where you would double tap a card to select it, then double tap the target field, and the card would be moved. I think this would be a lot easier than double tapping and holding, and then sliding to the target. Jeffrey -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the VIPhone Google Group. Re: Latest Kings Corner Update Work-around
This does not address the issue of cards not being announced, example moving a four of diamonds out of the stock but when you go through the stock it still shows the four as being there, A work around for this is to move a card from one position in the stock to another, just take one from the back and move it to the front or one from anywhere in the stock to anywhere else and that will get the cards reading properly again. The issue with cards on the board not reading properly is a larger pain and is sometimes fixed when you place a card on another stack. - Original Message - From: Jeffrey Turner jturner...@gmail.com To: viphone@googlegroups.com Sent: Friday, February 28, 2014 10:30 AM Subject: Latest Kings Corner Update Work-around : Hello King's Corners fans, : : I have just played a game successfully using the latest update, and would : disagree with the previous posts recommending that we avoid the update. Hi, I have seen that too. I think the card does actually move the first time, but voiceover doesn't reflect that. If you do the move the second time, voiceover does become aware of the move. Hope this helps, Brett. kings corner revisited
Thanks to all of your advice. I slowed my finger slide and stayed patient, and, what do you know, I finally won!! There's hope for the old girl yet! GRIN! God bless! anyone who plays kings corner
Well, here I am again, having fun with games but being pretty clueless, too. I'm having difficulty moving cards from one place to another in kings corner. I know the suits are alternating and understand stacking from larger down to smaller, but sometimes it seems like I should be able to stack say, an ace of diamonds onto a 2 of spaids, but can't get the ace to go there. Any thoughts? Thanks. By the way, iYacht is great fun! I can figure that one out. I guess there's still hope for me. God bless! Re: anyone who plays kings corner
The only thing I can tell you is that make sure you aren't trying to put cards on top of other cards on the bottom. Those are for moving one at a time. Just a thought. Re: anyone who plays kings corner
One more thing to remember is that VO will tell you if you can move the card onto another. Let's say you had a two of diamonds out there. VO will anounce two of diamonds if you have an ace of clubs or an ace of spades that you can move. Hope this helps, Jenn To the world you are someone but to someone you are the world! You don't have to get it in exactly the right place, but it does have to be close. Double-tap and hold the card, and then move your finger to the location where you want it. It doesn't always work, but I can generally do it on the first or second try. Re: anyone who plays kings corner
Hello, You need to be quite precise. It can sometimes get difficult and frustrating because it is so precise. Practice and moving slowly, as well as being mindful of how you remove your finger are the only pieces of advice I can give.
