Major bug in entire Settings menu?

2014-10-21 Thread Dr. Avnish Chopra M.D.
In the entire settings menu, the on/off toggle settings are not announced!
You cannot know if you have turned a setting on or off! I first noticed this in
the cellular settings, when I turn cellular data on or off I do not know!
Similarly I do not know if LTE is turned on or off! Later I checked in the
shortcuts menu, yet again no announcement off the status of the buttons,
whether we have selected on or off. For example, Enable Caps Lock Double tap to
toggle setting is announced by Voice Over , but it's current status is not
announced! One will never know whether it is on or off!! This is true for all
the items. Selecting settings with iOS 8.1 on my iPhone six is like Russian
roulette!
Comments please!

2014-10-21 Thread Robert Stigile
This must be a issue with your phone.
I just went and checked everything you mentioned, and I do not have this issue.
It announces on off and so forth.
You may want to try a reset.

2014-10-21 Thread David Chittenden
I am not experiencing this. All settings statuses are being read and announced
correctly. Try rebooting your iPhone. If that does not work, try updating again
using iTunes on the computer.

Re: Major bug in entire Settings menu?

2014-10-21 Thread AppleGourmet
Thank you for the suggestions. I rebooted the phone. Magically, the on off
button's re-appeared !! I've then ran about 10 or 12 apps. After that when I
check the toggle, the buttons had disappeared :-( I am now trying to reboot -
have never had such a problem with the iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, iPhone 5 or iPhone
5s. come to think of it the iPhone 6 with iOS 8.02 also did not have this
problem.

Hi, I saw this immediately after updating my iPhone 5s. The fix was to
power it down and then power it back up. Bingo! It fixed that issue.
