Re: Old time radio app
Just an idea, but it may be easier and less frustrating all around if you were just to find a station that streams old time radio. That way you will not have to worry about it going off the air. Re: Old time radio app
Hey guys, I just went up and snagged a ton of stuff. I use OTR Streamer, and have played around with Vintage Radio but when I want to grab something I know where I’m going from now on. OtR Streamer just had a nice update and interface change, and Vintage Radio is in a beta state at the moment but if released it could be a big deal. Michael Morrison I think is the person responsible for that one and it’s a nice app and he’s all the time adding to it but I don’t know the progress at the moment. I was going to do all sorts of stuff to get OTR for a while until I found some of these and now that I found this library I’m not going to purchase the hard drives and things you see from places, I’ll snag as I need it. Thanks for that one guys. take care. > On Jun 14, 2016, at 10:41 AM, jazzyjenniferwrote: > > and you can get old time radio from > http://otrrlibrary.org/ > > -- > The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list. > > If you have any questions or concerns about the running of this list, or if > you feel that a member's post is inappropriate, please contact the owners or > moderators directly rather than posting on the list itself. > > Your V iPhone list moderator is Mark Taylor and your owner is Cara Quinn - > you can reach Cara at caraqu...@caraquinn.com > > The archives for this list can be searched at: > http://www.mail-archive.com/viphone@googlegroups.com/ > --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups > "VIPhone" group. > To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an > email to viphone+unsubscr...@googlegroups.com. > To post to this group, send email to viphone@googlegroups.com. > Visit this group at https://groups.google.com/group/viphone. > For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/d/optout. -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list. Re: Old time radio app
A search in the App Store on my 5s the very first one says old time radio streamer. There seems to be quite a few but I didn't see tune in radio. That sucks. Maybe it got discontinued. Re: Old time radio app
Mary, as far as I know the app is free. Also the ACB has their treasure trove which has OTR as well. On my 5s, the tune in app shows up as just yesterday. I would guess though that if you search the App Store for old time radio you may find even more. I don't listen to as much OTR as I once did but I'v been listening to OTR sense before 1976. Hi Alan, Are you saying that this app, tune in old time radio, has everything from the red and blue networks? That would be amazing. Like you, I used to have a whole lot of old time radio stuff. Old time radio app
Hello everyone, I just downloaded OTR which is old time radio app. It seems to be pretty accessible. I want to use it for my 95 year old dad. His eyes are going bad and I am trying to find things to pass his time. Of course, I am going to have to get the program ready for him, and turn it on and off. I am going to play it through a blue tooth speaker. I haven't played with the app much yet, but, I'm wondering, if the episodes will play one after another or will I have to start each one. Grant, I first downloaded the lite version of this and then decided to purchase it for $2.99. I guess you can subscribe beyond that. However, I now have two apps. OTRStreamer is decent; Vintage Radio is, too, but costs a few bucks per month to access the whole collection. The audio section of Archive.org is also a great one to bookmark as they have countless episodes of oldtime radio and they're all free.
