If you're on a PC running Windows and want a completely accessible
podcatcher, check out QCast From Accessible Apps.

Similarly, check out QRead from the same folks for dealing with various

Hi Gary,

Is there a particular reason why you want to use iTunes for your
Podcasts rather than the iPhone with Apple Podcast or a third-part
Podcast app like Downcast? Just asking because consuming Podcasts on an
iOS device with one of these apps is such a nice and easy experience. In
addition to that it’s a mobile experience, i.e. you can listen at home
via a bluetooth speaker or Airplay it to an Apple TV if you have one or
you can plug in a headset and listen while you walk around at home or do
laundry, cook etc.

I've just subscribed to a particular podcast which has some way of
working with iTunes. Is this another type of iTunes not being
accessible? Where can I learn about using iTunes to receive
podcasts in its current version? Not getting much useable from
Window-Eyes.

Thanks again as always.

Re: Podcasts and Itunes

2015-08-19 Thread Isaac Hebert
Here is how you find your podcasts on itunes. To get to your podcasts press
control 4. Then when you tab you should find radio buttons like my podcasts my
stations and playlists.

Then you should then find the podcasts table and then a episodes table.
there you will find in the podcast table the list of podcasts and in the
episodes table you will find the episodes for the podcasts in the episodes
table.

Hi Everyone,

I am using the latest version of iOS 8. I just went into the iTunes store on
my iPhone 6 to write a review of one of my favorite podcasts. I couldn't
seem to get any of the edit fields to work. VO would announce that they were
editing, but clearly they were not! Has anyone else experienced this? Are
there any work arounds? Any enlightenment would be most appreciated! Thanks

Deleting Podcasts via iTunes for Windows

2014-07-02 Thread 'David Goldfield' via VIPhone
when using iTunes running under windows, is there a way to go through
the list of podcasts which have been downloaded onto your iPhone with
the goal of deleting specific episodes. I tried by activating the
iPhone button, then choosing the on this iPhone radio button. This
allows me to browse items on my phone, including podcasts, but I see no
way to actually delete them. I've also tried the podcasts radio button
once I select my iPhone but I still don't see an option to remove
specific episodes. Is there a convenient or even an inconvenient way to
do this?

RE: Deleting Podcasts via iTunes for Windows

2014-07-02 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi David,

Why not use the Podcast app on the phone to delete the Podcasts? If you do
sync Podcasts with iTunes, won't that go both ways, i.e. if you delete a
Podcast on the iPhone it will also delete in iTunes? Are you using a PC or a
Mac?

Regards,
Sieghard

It was a good suggestion but that didn't work. Tried backspace, alt
backspace, ctrl backspace, delete, ctrl-delete, none of them worked. I
tried with the on this iphone radio button as well as with the podcasts
radio button. I'll just google it ...

RE: subscribing to podcasts using iTunes.

2012-09-12 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Jennifer,

UYes, you have to use a Podcast app. Apple has released its own Podcast app
and in iOS 6 Podcasts will no longer show up in iTunes as the Apple Podcast
app is going to be pre-installed just as are stock apps like Notes,
Calculator, Clock etc. At this point most people on the list and even
sighted users would agree that the Apple Podcast app is not yet as good as,
for example, Downcast. I am sure that with the release of iOS 6 Podcasts
will probably see an update and it's my understanding that Apple intends
this Podcast app to be as good as it can be. Downcast is probably the
preferred podcast app by many blind users as the developer has made specific
Voiceover improvements and is concerned about the accessibility of his app.
I have used Podcaster, iCatcher and Downcast as well as Apple's Podcast app
and still prefer Downcast. One thing which will set Apple's Podcast app
aside in a way is that with iOS 6 SIRI will work with the Podcast app
similar to how it works now with the music app. This means you maybe able to
say something like Play the latest episode of the Applevis podcast and as
long as you are subscribed to the Applevis podcast SIRI will play it. I
guess we probably find out more about that in a couple of hours during the
Apple Event when more about iOS 6 will be said and how far SIRI integration
will go.

Regards,
Sieghard
