Re: problem with app store

2015-11-04 Thread Shawn Krasniuk
Hi Regina. In my 3 years of using iOS devices, I've never seen a cancel button.
I've seen a back button though but that's to get out of an app description
before downloading it. Is that what you're talking about?

2015-11-04 Thread Regina Alvarado

A different question about the app store. A few upgrades back Apple did away
with the cancel button in the left-hand upper corner on the page where the
description of the app, etc., is. By my understanding, you can get out of this
screen using the scrub gesture. However, what can one do if the gesture cannot
be mastered? Right now the only way to get out of the page is to go out of the
store and close app store in the app switcher and open it again. Sometimes even
this does not work. Any ideas for my friend? Thanks!

No problem. I did a settings reset from the resen menu in general and
reconnected to the network, but still no go. I signed out of the app store and
signed back in again, and still no go.

Hello Don,

As far as I am aware, there are no problems with the App Store.

>From time-to-time, Apple, like other companies, performs maintenance and this,
>can, of course, affect download speeds.

Just as an F Y I, whenever I encounter slower than usual download speeds, my
first step is to reset my WiFi network.

So many things can affect internet connection. For example, a couple of weeks
ago, there was a major power-outage in Santa Monica and, over 100 miles and two
counties away, in San Diego, many people reported slower than usual internet
connections.

We truly do live in a global village.

Good luck,

Is anyone else having problems with the app store being extremely slow when
downloading? I tried to download a couple of apps yesterday and they both show
as "waiting" on the main screen Also, I haven't seen any app updates since
October 22 which is quite unusual.
Since I haven't seen anyone else mention this, wonder if it's something on this
end.
Any suggestions? I've tried rebooting the phone. Running the latest version of
ios on an iphone 6 ing.

Thanks,

problem with app store

2015-11-02 Thread don bishop
Is anyone else having problems with the app store being extremely slow when
downloading? I tried to download a couple of apps yesterday and they both show
as "waiting" on the main screen
Also, I haven't seen any app updates since October 22 which is quite unusual.
Since I haven't seen anyone else mention this, wonder if it's something on this
end.
Any suggestions? I've tried rebooting the phone. Running the latest version of
ios on an iphone 6 ing.

Thanks,

That worked for me as well. Not sure why, but as soon as I reset my
network settings and re-entered my network password all my apps
updated just fine.

Try resetting your network settings: settings, general, reset network settings.
You will need login & password for your network to complete this.

Hope this works for you. It helped me.
