RE: Question Regarding Hot Spot

2022-10-03 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
He has to enable it and if he wants to connect by Wi-Fi he has to enter a
password on the phone which he then has to use on the computer when he connects
to his iPhone hot spot.
He can also enable it and simply connect the iPhone to his computer with a
Lightning cable, this way his phone charges and he can connect without having
to enter a password.
He may get a prompt on the iPhone to allow the connection, can't remember, but
whenever I use my iPhone as a hotspot for my laptop I more often than not
simply plug I tin.

Pretty sure she mean that he has data for his phone but not an internet
connection at home for the computer to use, thus the need for the hotspot.

To answer the question, yes you can use the phone hotspot. You can set it up as
a wifi connection or as bluetooth. For me as long as the hotspot is enabled, my
computer always prompts me if I want to connect with it if no other network is
available.

Hello List
I have a data sim in an iPhone and I can access the internet via that hotspot

Question Regarding Hot Spot

2022-10-03 Thread Carla
Don Moore, who is on this list and was in the hurricane needs help with
setting up hot spot with his iPhone. He wants to know if you can use the
phone hot spots to work on the computer and he needs to know how to set it
up. He does have his power back but no internet.
Thanks!
