You need the "PhoneLink" app on a Windows 11 PC and the "Link to
Windows" app
on your iPhone.

PhoneLink should already be on your computer if it's updated to the
latest
Windows 11 version and Link to Windows of course has to be downloaded from the
App Store on your iPhone, it does not work with an iPad (or at least not yet).

RE: “Handoff” between iOS and MS-Windows

2023-07-29 Thread Richard Turner
Well, once I actually paid attention to the Phone Link app on my Windows 11
Dell Laptop saying a program was preventing me from making calls, I decided to
investigate what app on a Dell laptop conflicts with phone calls.

Dell supposedly has their own phone app.

Dell Mobile Connect.

I found the drivers listed in Programs and Features, uninstalled it, rebooted,
and the Phone link app began working as you all have said it did immediately.

So, if you have a Dell machine and cannot get it to work, try uninstalling the
Dell Mobile Connect Drivers in Programs and Features.

I was able to call my wife and she said I sounded very clear, using my Logitech
USB headset.

Persistence pays off again!

PhoneLink probably can't do as much as what is possible between an iPhone and a
Mac, but considering it was only officially released a couple of months ago,
PhoneLink works great. I get all my notifications on my iPhone, if you get a
message with a 2-factor authentication code you can copy and paste it on your
Windows computer and you can reply to and send text messages from the computer.
You can also receive and make phone calls, if I get a call on my iPhone a
window pops up on my computer and focus is on the "
Transfer call to PC" button. If I press enter or spacebar and wear a USB
headset with microphone or want to use the speaker system of my laptop the call
is instantly transferred to my computer and I can similarly transfer it back to
the phone.

Hello,
One can use the phonelink app between iOS and Windows11 devices. This feature
works similar to handoff where one is able to work with messages/calls between
the Windows app and the iOS app. It uses bluetooth between the phone and PC.

Re: “Handoff” between iOS and MS-Windows

2023-07-27 Thread Shai
Hello,
One can use the phonelink app between iOS and Windows11 devices. This
feature works similar to handoff where one is able to work with
messages/calls between the Windows app and the iOS app. It uses
bluetooth between the phone and PC.

No, it isn’t. Hand off on my works with other Apple products. On 28 Jul 2023, at 03:44, Bill Gallik wrote:Can anybody on this list advise me as to whether or not the handoff feature between iOS and macOS is likewise available between iOS and MS-Windows?- Sent from Ino Squire's iPhone SE (iOS16.6) via Google MailAnd, if so, how does one configure it?TIA
