RE: Apple stops signing iOS 7.1.2, dongrading no longer possible.
That is exactly what I assumed, in a way giving people the ability to downgrade for 8 days is a long time for Apple, but in my last reply to somebody who asked about downgrading I said that I would think downgrading will stop very soon, possibly as soon as an update is released. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Daniel Miller Sent: Friday, September 26, 2014 12:59 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Apple stops signing iOS 7.1.2, dongrading no longer possible. Hello, is this is true I will be glad to let some of you know that I am friends with a Jennemann deck is a engineer for apple, and he says he has ways of getting access to the files even after Apple we'll not sign them anymore if anybody is interested in these files, and downgrading. Please send me an e-mail to the address below and I will make sure that these e-mail it to him. jhud7...@gmail.com On Sep 26, 2014, at 10:35 PM, Sieghard Weitzel siegh...@live.ca wrote: That is exactly what I assumed, in a way giving people the ability to downgrade for 8 days is a long time for Apple, but in my last reply to somebody who asked about downgrading I said that I would think downgrading will stop very soon, possibly as soon as an update is released. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Daniel Miller Sent: Friday, September 26, 2014 12:59 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Apple stops signing iOS 7.1.2, dongrading no longer possible. RE: Apple stops signing iOS 7.1.2, dongrading no longer possible.
Getting the files is not the problem, I have the 7.1.2 firmware file downloaded. But if you try to install it you have to do so via iTunes and as part of the process the installation will be verified with Apple's servers. At that point if they don't sign the firmware any more, the process would not be ablew to continue and I assume you would get a message telling you that you can no longer do what you are doing. I guess there are ways around this, but I sure don't know them and they are probably beyond most of the people on this list who are interested in downgrading. Re: Apple stops signing iOS 7.1.2, dongrading no longer possible.
Hello, I am very aware that, but I'm pretty sure he knows how to do the workaround. I don't want to get too much involved on list eggs I don't want to get banned for possibly breaking a rule so that's why I said anybody that has any questions, to contact me at the address below or if you are interested and yes I am aware of having to verify through Apple servers and then possibly rejecting the file but the way he talked, he has ways around it. Thank you very much, and you have a wonderful day.
