when I click on them I get waiting, and they won't open or start the

Hi Kim;

Clear out your task switcher and, all your cash and history in Safari.

Power your phone down and power it up again and, that should fix the problem.

RE: Apps stuck in update

2013-06-28 Thread Steve Sweeney
Hi,
I have had them stuck many times. It seems to happen more on my wife's iPad
and iPhone than mine but... I have found that the way to fix this is to
open the app that is stuck and it will finish downloading and installing. I
had to do this on 8 of her apps last night and it all worked fine.

Hi Dan,

Since iOS hasn't been updatedin some time I doubt this is a bug of any sort.
I think it is probably either related to a slow connection or the app store
being super busy and I have never had a situation where an app didn't update
eventually. This has rarely happened to me at least, but I think the worst
case was that once I just left it alone until the next day and then it
worked just fine.

RE: Apps stuck in update

2013-06-27 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hello,

I just wanted to point out again what I said yesterday and what David
confirmed. If an app doesn't finish updating just wait a bit and restart the
update process. This is not done from inside the App Store. Once you tap on
Update that's it, you can close the app store. If the app is stuck on a
certain percentage or even at 0 percent or if it says Waiting, then simply
double tap on the app as if you want to open it. Then wait because it can
take up to 10 or 20 seconds or maybe even 30 seconds before the download
restarts. Do not double tap again because this will only Pause the process
again. If there is a problem you will get a message and if that is the case
just leave it alone and try again 10 minutes later or the next morning or
whatever since eventually it will work.

There is definitely no reason to write to accessibility support since this
has nothing to do with accessibility and at best any tech support person
from Apple would tell you what I just said above.

Regards,
Sieghard

If possible write them and leave your iphone alone. They'll probably want a

RE: Apps stuck in update

2013-06-27 Thread Sieghard Weitzel

Sieghard

Hi,

I understand what you guys are saying about stuck updates on apps. However,
that is what I tried with dropbox yesterday. It would not finish updating
no matter what I did. This is why I finally deleted it and reinstalled.

I sure hope this isn't a new serious bug in IOS.

Thanks.

Yes, the solution is to go to the app on your home screen or in its folder
and double-tap on the app. The act of attempting to launch the app will
cause iOS to go and download the update.

Re: Apps stuck in update

2013-06-26 Thread dmit...@taptapseeapp.com
Timothy,

Did you by any chance pause the downloads when it initially started? That
may be the cause of it. If you click on the app in the Update screen while
it's trying to update, it will pause the process. Another reason may be
that the updates are big and require you to be near WiFi. However, that's
usually the case for games not smaller apps. Let me know if this helps any.

RE: Apps stuck in update

2013-06-26 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Joanne,

Close the app store, then find the app that is stuck and double tap on it.
If the update has paused, this will force it to resume. If the update fails
you should get a message, something like App Store Unavailable or similar.
If that is the case, wait a while and double tap the app again, maybe even
wait over night. I have never had to delete an app and reinstall it from
scratch because I couldn't update it. Sometimes it take a bit, but it
usually always works eventually.

Sieghard

 Subject: Apps stuck in update

Hi guys, let me try and explain what's going on and maybe someone can
assist

me this morning. I have two apps, iHeart Radio and Slacker that are trying
to update. I had a full iPhone a,d cleared some stuff out to let the
updates

continue. both iHeart and Slacker are now stuck in the updates, and when I
click on them I get waiting, and they won't open or start the download. I
tried to take them out of he app switcher to no avail, and even tried to
delete them and uninstall them and they won't go anywhere and they seem to
be stuck. Am I going to need to connect my phone to my laptop when I get
home tonight and sync apps that way, or is there another way to clear this
out and let the updates perform so I can use the apps. I'm running a 16
gig

iPhone 4S with latest IOS. thanks guys. Take care.
