Hi Mark,

The problem is that when I select what category that I want, like
Contacts, messages, etc. I cannot select which contact or message that I
want to view. I like the capabilities of this program though.

Safely rescue space on your iOS device with the new DiskAid 6.7 This
week's release of DiskAid 6.7 adds one of the most requested features:
the ability to backup individual iOS apps and their custom data and
settings to your Mac or PC!
Why is this kind of app management so cool? Because it means you can
finally delete apps you don't use frequently without that dreaded
decision of whether to lose your associated files and saved state.

For gamers, this is especially welcoming since it means valuable
gigabytes can be reclaimed without sacrificing the hours that have
been invested earning achievements and progressing through a game.

But really it's great for anyone who has ever thought they might
need an app again that they no longer use. With DiskAid 6.7, you can
save the app and its associated data as a single .ipa file, and
restore it to your device as it was before just as easily.

DiskAid 6.7 also adds a powerful new device cloning feature that
allows you to make an exact copy of one iOS device to another-no
need for clumsy iTunes backups and restores!

The one cool thing about this program is that you could use it back up apps and
their data without making a full backup, and then you could restore it to your

It is not particularly accessible but with lots of work it might be usable,
but iTunes takes a bit of work and is quite usable for me and it is free.
But for those who would rather avoid iTunes, this looks promising if you are

Thanks Mark, but I have a couple of questions for you. :)

1. Which version did you use, Mac or PC? I am on a mac and would like to know
how accessible the Mac version is.

2. Can you please share your experiences with the app? Does it work and was it
easy to use and learn? I particularly love the idea of using this to back up
phone history and text messages, and app backup of the app plus it's affiliated
files. I am excited about the possibility of a full backup of an app in order
to move it from one device to another or to make more room on my phone and then
later be able to put it back when I need to without losing everything.

Thanks,

RE: For Those Who Want A Little More Control Over Their iPhone Including Backing-Up and Viewing SMS Messages

2014-06-09 Thread M. Taylor
Hello Ed,

You know, I use VoiceOver on the Mac, Jaws for Windows, and Zoomtext for
Windows virtually every day. Sometimes, I forget which screen reader I use
with each application.

I use Zoomtext for Windows to access DiskAide on Windows.

Hello,

I probably should have put more info on this product in my original post.

1.
DiskAid is for use on both Windows and Mac.

2.
DiskAid is an iOS device management system. Consequently, one must install
and open the application on either a Mac or Windows Desktop computer; just
like iTunes on the Desktop.

3.
When the app is open, simply attach the iOS device in order to have it
detected by the application.

4.
Like many popular applications, DiskAid is both purchased and downloaded
from the developer website. The URL for the DiskAid Store is:
http://www.digidna.net/store

5.
The single user license cost approximately 30 USD.

Sorry for any confusion.

 DiskAid 6.7: App Backups!

But really it's great for anyone who has ever thought they might need
an app again that they no longer use. With DiskAid 6.7, you can save
the app and its associated data as a single .ipa file, and restore it
to your device as it was before just as easily.

DiskAid 6.7 also adds a powerful new device cloning feature that
allows you to make an exact copy of one iOS device to another-no need
for clumsy iTunes backups and restores!

 iOS 8 OS X 10.10

Last Monday at WWDC Apple previewed iOS 8 and we immediately went to
work testing its compatibility with DiskAid 6.7.

After only 5 days we are pretty happy to release DiskAid 6.7.1
 already supporting iOS 8!

We have also been testing DiskAid 6.7 on the beta version of OS X
10.10 Yosemite, also due out in October, and so far haven't yet

Thanks Mark, but I have a couple of questions for you. :)

1. Which version did you use, Mac or PC? I am on a mac and would like to
know how accessible the Mac version is.

2. Can you please share your experiences with the app? Does it work and was
it easy to use and learn? I particularly love the idea of using this to back
up phone history and text messages, and app backup of the app plus it's
affiliated files. I am excited about the possibility of a full backup of an
app in order to move it from one device to another or to make more room on
my phone and then later be able to put it back when I need to without losing
everything.

Thanks,
Christina

Sounds to me like you have to spend $30 and a lot of time whereas iTunes is
free and while also requiring a bit of learning and practice, it’s super
accessible with all modern screenreaders. I find it astonishing what length
people are going to in order to avoid iTunes and in the end they are doing
something that’s even more complicated and even costs money.

 DiskAid 6.7: App Backups!

10.10 Yosemite, also due out in October, and so far haven't yet
 encountered any problems.

 AltConf 2014 Apple's WWDC

DiskAid is super proud to be the Gold Sponsor of AltConf 2014, the
free alternative to Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC)
that took place this week in San Francisco.

AltConf has being held at the Children's Creativity Museum right
across the street from WWDC and included a ton of interesting
sessions and panels. You can watch all replays on AltConf's Youtube

2014-06-07 Thread Alan Lemly
Mark, thanks for the additional clarification. I guess I tend to be old
school so when I hear app, I automatically think of what runs on iDevices
although I'm well aware that programs running on desktop and laptop
computers are also called apps. Sorry for my confusion.
