Thanks!

Re: Getting Iphone5 Ready For a New Home?

2015-05-30 Thread Vicky Collins
Although it probably isn't necessary for the new owner to operate the phone,
when I gave my 6 plus to my sister in-law, I did go to a couple of Apple web
sites and disable a couple of things. First, since I have two-step verification
enabled, I went to the following site and signed in and entered on the button
to manage my Apple ID and went to the security and password tab and removed the
6 plus from my trusted devices list. I did this on a computer, so one may have
to go to the below site and tap on manage my Apple ID and then sign in if using
an Apple device.

https://appleid.apple.com/

Second, I went to the following web site and signed in and removed the 6 plus
from my products list.

https://supportprofile.apple.com/

I can't remember the website right now, but you need to go to a specific
Apple website and disassociate your iPhone 5 from your Apple ID.

Christopher is exactly right and I owe Fazil and the list an apology for
posting incorrect information. I did not hear the button announcement when
swiping over Erase all content and settings and misinterpreted it as a
footer explanation for the Reset all settings option.

Fazil, to restate what Christopher said below, to prepare your iPhone 5 for
sale by wiping all your settings and data, go to Settings, General, Reset
(which is the last item on the General screen), and Erase all content and
settings (which is the second item on the reset screen).

Again, I apologize for the incorrect post and thank Christopher for the
correction.

Go to settings general reset erase all content and settings. Whoever
suggested to reset all settings, this will not be enough as it only does
what it says; reset all settings. In fact, you will be advised that media
and content will be preserved.

2015-05-27 Thread Fazil
Thanks much, Alexander.

In App Store, I could not find setting, there are 5 tabs in App Store and
Setting is not one of them.

And in the Setting of the phone, I could not find App Store option.

Thanks!

When you logg out you should get a questions what you want to do with pictures
and other stuff when the accout will deleted so i'm shure you ask that not keep
it on the device, and if you ddo not see the account details you can be shure
that account is deleted compleatly.
But there is also account in the appstore you nead to delete. it is not enough
to logg out from that only. you nead to manualy remove that e-mail you use for
that. under the settings and appstore.

Thanks much, Steven.

Let me ask you this,

Is removing ICloud account and signing out of ICloud the same thing?

If yes, I have sign out, if not, I would like to know how I could remove the
ICloud account, please!

Thanks again.

Go to settings general reset erase all content and settings. Whoever
suggested to reset all settings, this will not be enough as it only does what
it says; reset all settings. In fact, you will be advised that media and

RE: Getting Iphone5 Ready For a New Home?

2015-05-26 Thread Fazil
Thank you very much, Allan.

My provider has unlocked the phone for me. Would Reset all Settings clear all
the data?

Thanks again.

Settings, General, Reset, and Reset all Settings should be run to clear
everything off your iPhone 5. The only other thing I did with my 5 was to get
ATT to unlock it before I sold it to a third party.

Subject: Getting Iphone5 Ready For a New Home?

Hi, list.

I have successfully restored all my backup from IPhone5 to my new IPhone 6 Plus
and now I am ready to bid farewell to IPhone5.

How should I get Iphone5 ready for a new home?

I have turned Find My IPhone off what else should I do now besides erasing the
data in the setting, please?

Thanks!
