Seventeen years ago I used Eharmony and it was accessible then. It is a paid 
service, but as my adult son asked me at that time, “Do you want to date 
someone who is not willing to take several hours to fill out a questionnaire or 
shell out a hundred dollars?” (That was the fee at that time.) My wife and I, 
both in our early seventies, will be celebrating our 15th anniversary in July. 
So, E Harmony worked out fairly well for me. And, on a good day, I hope my wife 
also agrees with that statement.

Accessible dating apps [was "RE: Hope this is acceptable question"]

I'm not sure why asking about an accessible app would be off topic for this 
list. Questions like this come to the list all of the time. Besides, if you 
think a message is inappropriate, you should follow the wishes of the owner and 
moderator at the end of each message, namely " If you have any questions or 
concerns about the running of this list, or if you feel that a member's post is 
inappropriate, please contact the owners or moderators directly rather than 
posting on the list itself."

My biggest complaint with this message is that a more descriptive subject 
should have been used. That'll help ensure it gets looked at by someone who 
might have an answer and let those who aren't interested or bothered by the 
post to just skip over it.

Hello my name is Mich. I am 38 cis, straight and way 252 lbs. I have no kids 
and am seeking a partner who I am able to have fun with and a long term 
relationship. I will comment that wile I have used facebook dateing that I have 
not found anyone on there. I have not used pof for years the last time I tried 
I found the websight to be less then accessible. Facebook dateing works just 
fine. I might also say that there is a group on groups.io I think cald blind 
singles or something like that that might also be another  thing to try since

user, I would hesitate to recommend them to a totally blind person.

You may find that the web interfaces are much more accessible.  This is to say

Although I have not used it personally, Facebook has launched a new free dating 
service that is reported to be quite good.  According to the articles I've 
read, the demographics seem to lean towards singles who are 40+, 50+ and older 
which, based on your posted info, should be just fine for you.

Again, I have not used this new service but if you are familiar with Facebook, 
then you're halfway there to setting up your dating profile.

The service can only be accessed via the Facebook app; it is not available on 
the web, at least, not yet.

Again, it's called Facebook Dating.

Give it a try and let us knowhow it goes.
