JimSo if you go in that same area try going to the Iddle oCapacity setting. Now the kicker here is trying to figure out what setting works for each individual phone the 5s’s work at 0.40 but the iPhone 7’s may not. Keep playing with this setting maybe depending on the phone each phone may require a different setting. Try increasing the value. I thought it was the "Idle Opacity" that should be set. Mine was already set to 40. I am trying this, but no luck. The first announcement I got read, but subsequent ones have not. I even rebooted the phone. I hope someone can figure it out and get it to work! If you have a problem where words are cut off when performing actions within the Notification Center there is a remedy. The remedy is as follows: 1. Please go to Settings/General/Accessibility. 2. Then got to Assisistive Touch and inside the Assistive Touch menu option there is an On/Off toggle Switch it must be on. 3. Now while in the Assistive touch menu you may swipe to the right or use the rotor to find the Headings rotor setting if that’s set within your rotor settings under Voiceover. And find Custom Actions. 4. Under the Custom Actions heading you will find a setting which is a button and it also says “None” which is fine. 5. Double tap on this button. 6. Under this button you will find a double tap time out and set it by using the increase button or typing “0.40. This allows Voiceover to have a little more time to speak when in the Notification Center.
