You must have missed part of the thread, I sent the response I received from
them stating they are not able to get some of the components so they are
working on a complete redesign and hope to have the Rainbow 3 out in the later
half of 2020.

Richard,

Thanks for doing this and I wonder why they don’t state this information on
their web site. I am going to check to see if possibly Amazon may have some in
stock. If not, I guess maybe I will await the Rainbow three.

Richard,

Sorry, but we are currently all sold out of the Rainbow 2 Color Reader. Due to
technical problems with our component suppliers, we are currently doing a
complete redesign for the Rainbow 3. It is currently planned to be available
sometime during the last of half of next year…

Have you used it at all for the small LED lights on devices like routers, etc.?

Well, what a nice surprise. I went to the site and it let me go to the PayPal
site and when I put in the quantity, it tells me the unit is not currently

thanks Martin. I will take a look later. I will definitely look at all of 10
alternatives I can find before that time as I don't really want to pay out that
much extra to go and get it from somewhere out of the UK.

Louise,

I'm in the UK and, if you get to talk to them and you can do it, I'd really
like to know of other shipping options, but their web site (perhaps because
they haven't yet got any) doesn't have a link (ikt seems) when I read the word
"here" on their page.

If anyone actually has one, I'd really like to know how it does with patterned
items, since these almost always cause problems, but I am keen to get a better
one than I have so would appreciate all feedback.

Thanks.

Re: rainbow II color identifier now available

2017-12-15 Thread 'Carol Pearson' via VIPhone

Louise,

I'm in the UK and, if you get to talk to them and you can do it, I'd
really like to know of other shipping options, but their web site
(perhaps because they haven't yet got any) doesn't have a link (ikt
seems) when I read the word "here" on their page.

If anyone actually has one, I'd really like to know how it does with
patterned items, since these almost always cause problems, but I am keen
to get a better one than I have so would appreciate all feedback.

Thanks.

Martin, give them a phone call. You will likely get either the visually
impaired owner or her husband who did the design for her.

They are very nice folks to deal with. I have had two great experiences with
them, they are very flexible and will surely let you know what they can and
can’t do!

Richard,
Thanks for this! have you had a chance to play with this yourself? The main
functionality I am looking for is telling me the colours of LEDs.

Sometimes, on this list, my address is replaced by Carol's, I don't know why,
but I have seen it happen with other people's addresses. Something is wrong
with the list software, I reckon! Anyway, here is my own address, if you prefer
to contact me off list, as this is not IOS related.
sandratomk...@googlemail.com
Thanks for the info! Sandy.
