RE: Regarding Audio Playing When I Don't Want

2022-10-25 Thread Jim Portillo
Thanks Sieghard and Julian for these good suggestions,
Believe it or not, the famous Magic Tap doesn't always do the trick either,
which is why I resort to going back to the app. But, yes, you are right that
that gesture does a lot, and I use it quite often!
I guess I will have to write Accessibility, as you mentioned.
Thanks again!
Jim

Hi Jim,

You should be able to stop playback with a 2-finger double tap and there should
be no need to remember what app you many have to open to stop it.
But yes, I have had this problem even in iOS 15 especially when using the
2-finger double tap magic tap) to start/stop dictation. This gesture is
supposed to do quite a few different things depending on the context, e.g. if
the phone rings it should pick up the call, if music is playing it should stop
playback, if you are in an edit field it should start dictation and as you are
dictating it should stop dicatation. It seems to be a bit like iOS is confused
as to what the gesture should do inb certain situations which is why instead of
stopping dictation it starts playback.
You need to write to accessibil...@apple.com and report this so they can start
figuring out how to fix this.

Best regards,
Sieghard

Hi Jim,You're very welcome. Greetings,
This has been an issue that has been happening for a little while, but it is really beginning to annoy me. I’m not quite sure how to describe it.
I listen to music with the Apple music app. I also have the OoTunes radio app and listen to stations there, along with other radio apps. When I’m done with whatever radio or music app I’m using, I’ll stop whatever is playing and close the
 app.
I could be doing something else on my phone, or maybe even just accidentally bumping the phone, and suddenly, the music or radio from the app comes back up playing. It is really annoying because since the app is technically closed, I have
to remember which app it is, open it, stop whatever is playing and close down the app again.
Sometimes, I might be in an app where I may want to dictate something, and if I do a two finger double-tap, the music or radio app might sometimes come up again.
I’ve noticed it happening more lately.
Any idea what could be going on and how I can keep these apps from coming up at any time

RE: Regarding Audio Playing When I Don't Want

2022-10-24 Thread Christopher Chaltain
I haven’t noticed this, but could you stop whatever’s playing with a two finger
double tap instead of opening the app you think is playing?

Subject: Regarding Audio Playing When I Don't Want

Greetings,
This has been an issue that has been happening for a little while, but it is
really beginning to annoy me. I’m not quite sure how to describe it.
I listen to music with the Apple music app. I also have the OoTunes radio app
and listen to stations there, along with other radio apps. When I’m done with
whatever radio or music app I’m using, I’ll stop whatever is playing and close
the app.
I could be doing something else on my phone, or maybe even just accidentally
bumping the phone, and suddenly, the music or radio from the app comes back up
playing. It is really annoying because since the app is technically closed, I
have to remember which app it is, open it, stop whatever is playing and close
down the app again.
Sometimes, I might be in an app where I may want to dictate something, and if I
do a two finger double-tap, the music or radio app might sometimes come up
again.
I’ve noticed it happening more lately.
Any idea what could be going on and how I can keep these apps from coming up at
any time
This seems to happen when I’m the most careful. 
Thanks.
Jim
