Anna, I've found those checks and by golly, when you check one off, they

Hi,

YOu're right - reminders play once and stop, unlike alarms. But they can
function as a to-do list - you can check the boxes when you've completed the
tasks.

Best,
Anna

remind me to take the trash out tomorrow at 7

wake me up at 6:20
or
remind me to start dinner in 2 hours

set the timer for 45 minutes

Hi,

When I set reminders and look in the app, there seem to be two states, ticked
and unticked, is a ticked reminder one that has already triggered and won't be
triggered again.
Do they need to be ticked or unticked to actually go off?

Re: Reminders And SIRI

2014-08-08 Thread Chris Chaffin
Reminders do not go away until the checkbox is checked. By checking the box,
you are saying that the task is complete.
I use the today screen in my notifications to check my calendar events and
reminders for that day. I like this because it puts everything in one place.
And remember, you can navigate the today screen in notifications by heading, so
it is easy to check what you are looking for.
For daily task, like take the garbage out, water the plants, or etc., I
actually put the same time for all of my reminders. For example, I put the
time for my daily reminders for 7 o'clock in the morning, so when I check my
today screen, all of my reminders are there for the day, and they will stay
there until I complete them.

I hope this has been helpful.

Re: Reminders And SIRI

I have found that breaking up the commands gives better assurance that they
will work. For instance, saying set reminder for Tuesday at 4:30. Wait for Siri
to now ask what I want to be reminded of.

It's a lot easier than that. For instance:
remind me to take the trash out tomorrow at 7
or
wake me up at 6:20
or
remind me to start dinner in 2 hours
or
set the timer for 45 minutes

Re: Reminders And SIRI

2014-08-07 Thread Alan Paganelli
The other day I asked my wife a question and she said why don't you ask your
girlfriend; she knows everything. Um, what are you talking about? Your
girlfriend Siri. Me thinks she no happy! LOL! So she could tell by the look
on my face that I didn't know if I should stand on my feet or stand on my head,
so she started laughing instead and was just pulling my chain.

They could be repeating every week as well?

Hi Alan,

I don't know if you could set this up as one reminder, but you could
certainly set up one reminder for Wednesdays and one for Saturdays.

Best,
Anna

It's a lot easier than that. For instance:
remind me to take the trash out tomorrow at 7
or
wake me up at 6:20
or
remind me to start dinner in 2 hours
or
set the timer for 45 minutes

Hi friends,
I can set a reminder with SIRI, for example new reminder and it will
prompt me to enter the reminder details.
Is there a way to set a reminder with SIRI then specify a reminder time
without having to add it manually if you understand what I mean?
Can I say something like new reminder with alarm and then it will prompt
me for an alarm time?

Thanks for this. You've reminded me to ask how can I ask the iPhone to wake me

Thanks.
