Re: Setting up the “say cheese” Siri shortcut

2018-09-20 Thread karuna Chopra
You will first have to grant permission to Siri shortcuts to access the camera
and the photos apps. After that you will see this say cheese shortcut option in
Siri shortcuts.
Best of luck!

Yes! I know it was redundant! I just figured out the Camera app and Apple Watch
and I could use it easily for taking photos from my iPhone and even get a
viewfinder in my Apple Watch!
It’s funny, this technology, sometimes it makes you go around in circles!
Have a great day!

Awesome! But it does take a couple of seconds before it takes the picture.
Remind me of an app I had earlier called 1Camera. Asking Siri to launch 1Camera
would take a picture! It was much faster.
Thank you very much for your detailed instructions. really appreciate it.
I tried to initiate this action by speaking “Say cheese” into my Apple Watch.
But Siri on the Apple Watch said cannot recognize this command! Is there anyway
I can do it?

What I don't like about the shortcuts, unless, I am doing something incorrect,
is that when the shortcut is complete it puts you in the shortcut app. So, if I
use the say cheese shortcut from the home screen, when the pitcher is taken I
am left in the shortcut app.

RE: Setting up the "say cheese" Siri shortcut

2018-09-20 Thread Blind Treasures {Your One Stop Shop}
What I don't like about the shortcuts, unless, I am doing something
incorrect, is that when the shortcut is complete it puts you in the shortcut
app. So, if I use the say cheese shortcut from the home screen, when the
pitcher is taken I am left in the shortcut app.

RE: Setting up the “say cheese” Siri shortcut

2018-09-20 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
It seems to work and do what it says it is supposed to do, here is what I did:

1. Open the Shortcuts app
2. Tap on Gallery
3. Tap on Say Cheese, take a photo by asking SIRI
4. Now tap on "Get Shortcut"
5. Tap on the "Library" tab at the bottom left and you will now find the Say
Cheese shortcut listed.
6. Double tap on it, you will propted to allow Shortcuts to access your camera
and photos, make sure you allow it, the shortcut will run and a picture is
taken.
7. In order to add the SIRI integration, go to Settings > SIRI and Search and
look for the "Run Say Cheese" shortcut which should now show up under the
heading "Suggested Shortcuts", double tap on it.
8. Record whichever phrase you want to use, it could be "Say Cheese" or "Take
Picture" or, if in the shortcuts menu you change the actions to use the front
camera instead of the back camera you could make a shortcut and call it "Take
Selfi".
9. After you finish recording your phrase make sure you tap the "Done" button
at the top right of that screen.
10. Try out your shortcut by bringing up SIRI and speak your phrase, e.g.
"Take Picture", SIRI should say "running your shortcut", make sure you hold the
phone still until you hear the sound of the camera. It will probably take 2
seconds or so.

Regards,
Sieghard

Subject: Setting up the “say cheese” Siri shortcut

Siri shortcuts seem awesome! But setting up Siri shortcut seems awfully
confusing.
Mr. Richard Turner did mention say cheese shortcut for the camera app taking a
photo automatically.
It seems impossible to set up!
Can someone please give step-by-step instructions on how to set up an activate
this shortcut?
Thank you very much!
