RE: an interesting dilemma with my phone

2015-07-23 Thread Rose Combs
Even if mine is on charge, I empty the app switcher every couple of days, and
turn it completely off at least once a week. I notice a slowdown even on the 6
if I have a lot of apps open, once had 35 of them there, I don't care what they
say, emptying it occasionally does help the speed of Voiceover anyway.

Well I did turn the phone off then on again.
So far it isn't shutting down apps, but I've only tried one.
Maybe that was all that was needed, I hope.
Thanks for everyone's help. I never turn my phone off, it's lawyas on
charge.
I just don't do it and I don't know why.
I guess I don't like it takes a while to come on again.
No patience, lol.

Try a turning phone off and then on again!. That said, the 4 S I had shortly
after 8.0 was released did not do very well on may apps either. I have a 6
now.

Hi
A friend's 4s is even worse. It's breaking up on calls, jumping from earpiece
to speaker and vice versa, she's upgrading to a 5s in a matter of weeks.

I was wondering if anybody had this problem, I think I know what may be going
 on but not sure.
I have a 4s, and when I open an app, the majority of the time it will close
on me. No matter what app it is.
I am connected to wifi, and nothing else is going on with that end of things,
such as tv, internet, etc; I have a braille display hooked up to the phone so
 bluetooth is activated.
I am just wondering if first of all my phone is beginning not to support
 anything because it is a 4s; (it will not allow me to upgrade to the 8.4);
also wonder if I need to remove some apps, would that solve the problem.
This does not happen with my ipad, by the way.
 And the phone is charged.
So, do you all a gree with me that it may be time to get a new phone, I can't
say I want to, I don't like the changing things over process, getting
ringtones back on it, etc; but I am just thinking the phone has seen its
better days. And the funny thing is I don't use it that much, not like a lot
 of people do.
