XBackup not only saves your apps, but your settings and what folders they were
in. I was pleasantly surprised when I jailbroke this time, and all my settings
restored from my XBackup app, worth the 4 bucks I spent a year ago. Mind you,
a year ago it wasn't accessible, so I guess the saying goes, good things come

Hi,
I got x backup to work perfectly, I was very happily surprised when my apps

seemed to work fine. Maybe the devs just haven't tested it, I don't know.

Yes there is, search for a app in cydia called XBackup It will save your
apps in it's cloud, and if you have your jb apps in a folder, it will put them
back in those folders when you restore them. And yes, it's completely vo
accessible. I think it cost 3 bucks, but don't quote me on that one.

Hi Courtney,
Give xbackup a try.
You can either backup to the cloud or to your device and then copy the .zip
file to your pc for later restoration.

Subject: backing up jailbreak apps, settings, and the like

Hi,
Is there a way to backup my jailbreak apps, settings, etc? I want to update
my iphone to ios 5.1 and then jailbreak it, but I have some jailbreak apps,
such as ischeduler that I bought, and if they aren't backed up, I'll have to
repurchase. Is there a place where I can back this stuff up before I
continue?
Thanks,
Courtney

Hi,
That's cool that a zip file is an option, but since I have a mac, and not a PC,
I'll probably just back up to their cloud.

 Hi Courtney,
 Give xbackup a try.
You can either backup to the cloud or to your device and then copy the .zip
file to your pc for later restoration.

Hi, regarding purchasing Jailbreak apps again, if you do it from either
your tied in Facebook account, or a gmail account, then you don't have
to purchase them again. At least, that's been my experience with
purchasing Jailbreak apps.

2012-05-25 Thread Kliphton
That is true, but some apps aren't registered on cydia, they take you to there
paypal page, or CC purchasing part, and then you have to email them for your
activation to take plae. At least on a new device. If it's the same device,
then your phone will recodnize it and just install with no issues.
