Re: how accessible is the kindle app with voice over, and how do I start to use it
You can also move by page by flicking your three fingers to the right or to the left flicking them to the left goes forward in the book and flicking them to the raid goes backward I remember this by imagining myself turning the pages of a book you flip the pages to the left when you want to go forward through the book and then you flip the pages to the right when you want to go backward the Kindle app also allows you to move to a specific page you do this by going to the menu then I believe you double tap navigation drawer and then there is an option to move by page when you first open the Kindle menu you can see what page you were on by going to the bottom of the menu > On Nov 18, 2021, at 10:00 AM, Joshua Hendrickson wrote: > > Hello to all. RE: how accessible is the kindle app with voice over, and how do I start to use it
Hi also on the topic of kindle I think there used to be a list for blind kindle users I think it was vikindle@google groups.com or something like that. From Mich. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com On Behalf Of Anna Dresner Sent: November 18, 2021 10:14 AM To: VIPhone Mailing List Subject: Re: how accessible is the kindle app with voice over, and how do I start to use it Hi Joshua, The Kindle app is very accessible. Usually, you double-tap a book title once to download the book and a second time to open it. Then flicking down with two fingers reads the text, and it scrolls automatically. If you're hearing items like Contents, Add Bookmark, and Recommended Books, it sounds like you're in the menu for a book. In that case, the top item on the menu says, "Book actions menu, exit." Double-tap it to exit the menu and go into your book. When you want to do something other than read straight through your book, such as choose a different chapter from the table of contents or set a bookmark, double-tap anywhere on the screen, and the book's menu will open. The second option on the menu, Close book, closes the book and takes you to the list of your books. Best, Anna > On Nov 18, 2021, at 9:00 AM, Joshua Hendrickson wrote: > > Hello to all.
