hi, I tried a cat, who happens to be one of those breeds, who have no
fur. apparently, he is grey texture. the app thought the furless cat
with skin is basically leather. great entertainment, really.

I took a picture of my daughter playing the piano and it said “Woman in

slow either. I think it’s kind of fun.

RE: iDentifi results

2016-12-01 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Richard,

I shouldn’t have speculated, apart from that I totally agree with you and I
just posted my first impressions with the app. One has to keep in mind that
this is also just the first release and from the article it sounds as if Anmol
is committed to taking this further although one of course never knows what
life throws at him and if he’ll have the time once he is at University etc.
We’ll have to wait and see, for now I definitely will keep the app and look
forward to what else he might do with it.

He does, by the way, also have another app, something about young adult
diabetics, I think it is more of an informational app, but if you go to the app
store you can find it under “other apps from this developer” or also if you
search for his name.

Hi Sieghard,
I think lots of assumptions are being made, but if you read the article that
was originally shared, it implies that this is done through something the
developer calls "computer vision." The article mentions that his code filled a
notebook about 2 inches thick.
You do have to have an internet connection for the app to work, so maybe it
uses crowd sourcing, I don't know. The implication was that it is all done via
the program. But who knows.
Maybe someone can do an interview with him and get more details.
I am perhaps easily impressed, but the fact that an 18 year old came up with
this, is kind of amazing.

Richard
