RE: iPhone cleaning apps revisited
Thanks for the suggestion I just downloaded the APP and it works great. for anyone looking for this type of utility it seems thus far to be quite voice over accessible. Warning it does take a few minutes to run the cleaning process and I am using a 16 gig 4S. I suspect it would take longer on 32 and 64 gig devices. From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Sieghard Weitzel Sent: Monday, September 16, 2013 02:01 To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: iPhone cleaning apps revisited Hello, I noticed a few posts about apps or programs which can clean the iPhone's storage space and free up space. I recently heard about an app called iClean by Monkey Taps on the Today in iOS Podcast and the people who called in to the show had pretty good things to say about it. Anyhow, I thought I give it a try, it's a 99 Cent app, it seems to be fully accessible and seems to do what it promises. On my iPhone 4S 64 Gig it freed up about 350 Mb of space, not a huge amount, but the main purpose of the app also is to overwrite deleted files so they can't be recovered. As I am getting ready to possibly sell my 4S if I decide to buy the 5S this is probably not a bad idea. Below is a short description and the app store link for anybody who wants to check it out: iClean is a must have for anyone concerned about security and privacy. Running faster and with a more enhanced interface than any other cleaner app, it wipes out any unwanted or unused data without any trouble to you, by being able to run in the background. You can multitask while your phone is being cleaned. Deleted contents in your phone are technically not erased and can still be recovered by other external programs. iClean overrides these hidden deleted items and ensures that everything unnecessary is gone. Getting more available space in your device is an added benefit to getting rid of the extra data. This is not the main purpose of iClean, so it is NOT warrantied. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/iclean-remove-clean-all-deleted/id661800424? mt=8 Regards, Sieghard -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the VIPhone Google Group. Yes, I did forget to mention this. On my iPhone 4S it took about 15 minutes to count up to 100% and when I was at 99.5% or something like that I got the warning that my storage capacity was almost full, but the app warned me about that at the beginning.
