Re: replying to a text from the locked screen

2016-10-04 Thread Shawn Krasniuk
That's how it's supposed to be behaving. When you reply to a message, it keeps
you in that thread so you can monitor if someone sends you a message in that
thread. If you want that screen to disappear, just click the home button.

RE: replying to a text from the locked screen

2016-10-04 Thread M. Taylor
Hello Paula,

Yes, flicking up on a text message notification will offer the option to reply
to the message. The thing is, for whatever reason, in iOS 10.x, this option is
now labeled as More.

So, when you receive a text notification, flick up until VoiceOver says
something like, “More”. Select that and then you can enter your text to reply.

Mark

Hi all. I’m running IOS 10.02 on an IPhone 6. It seems to me that before the
update one could reply to a text message by flicking up while still on the
locked screen. I can’t seem to find a way to do that after the update. Not a
big deal, just wondering if it’s still possible. Thanks in advance for your
help.
God bless!

RE: replying to a text from the locked screen

2016-10-04 Thread Edmonds, Lucy (LARA)
Yes, that does work, but I think it's still different than iOS 9, at least on
my phone. It used to be that when you flicked up to reply to a text on the
locked screen and then double-tapped, you were inside the message but not in
the actual message app. Now when you do it, you end up in the app itself when
you send the message; before you would not actually go into the message app.

It's been a long day; I'm rambling!

Nope, I don’t think so. I used to do that with iOS 9 and I liked it! Can’t
figure it out with 10.2.
