Re: Blind Square Questions
Hi there. Blind Square will not give you turn by turn directions. That's not what's the feature for it. This goes into your question 3 I think, if you want turn by turn directions, I highly recommend Google Maps for turn by turn directions. The cost of Blind Square in the US is 30 dollars. You don't need the Foursquare App but it will add functionality specific to it if you use it. Lastly, if you want to carry it the way you have been, that's fine. Over all I highly recommend this app. On Nov 8, 2014, at 9:53 AM, Sherry Wells sherrywe...@ameritech.net wrote: Hi all, I am considering getting Blind Square so read through the frequently asked questions on their web site. Re: Blind Square Questions
Thanks for this info. So if I want to travel from point A to point B only use Blind Square, I will have to check out the route ahead of time and just remember to turn right on street A then left on street B. Blind Square will tell me when I reach my destination though. Is this correct? If I want actual directions that tell me when which way to turn, I can use Google maps. While using Google maps, can Blind Square run in the background tell me info about my surroundings? Will Google maps do that as well? Thanks, Sherry Wells From: Raul A.
If you have Navigon, Google Maps or Apple Maps on your iPhone. For example you want to go to a fitness gym in down town. You have that fitness gym in your Blind Square «own places» and double tap it, chose «plan a route». The magic is when chosing «plan a route» a new meny pops up. This menu sends the coordinates to Navigon, Google Maps or Apple Maps, but you choose wich one of them you want to use by flicking and double tap. Then you are inside this navigation app. Start navigation in Navigon, Google Maps or Apple Maps. Then use program switcher to go back to Blind Square with turn by turn navigation in background while in Blind Square and using Blind Square features also by pressing the «play button once and once more on the action you want to make or in tools. Yes, start tracking is like Blind Square tells you how in earth you are in relation to your destination. Very very useful to always have turned on. Because when GPS turn by turn are a little bit off, this Blind Square «start tracking» is often a rescue. It is best to get familiar with the GPS app (Navigon etc.) a little bit first. Especially on how to plan a route in walking mode or other mode. Listen to a podcast at https://audioboom.com/boos/178-blindsquare-walking-demo-using-google-maps There is also a Podcast at applevis.com, but i don’t have a link. Re: Blind Square Questions
BS does not in itself offer turn by turn directions, but it will interface with any ap on your device that does, including the native Apple Maps.
