RE: Calendar question

2021-05-24 Thread Richard Turner
Hi Brian,
Check to see what calendar you both have for the default.
If you use the same default, one would think you would both have the same
calendar showing.
The default calendar is the one new appointments are added to, so if you also
want separate calendars, then that is beyond my pay grade, grin.

I'd call Apple Accessibility, but I'm sure someone on here would know how to do
that.

Later,

Re: Calendar question

2016-04-27 Thread Christopher Chaltain
There are a couple of settings. First, go into Settings -> Mail,
Calendars, Contacts and double tap your Google account and make sure
Calendar is on.

You should also be able to set your default calendar by going into
Settings -> Mail, Calendars, Contacts and going down to the Calendar
section. I don't see this setting on my phone anymore though, but maybe
that's because I just have the one calendar. I also used to be able to
select a calendar when I added an event, but again, I don't see that in
the add calendar event dialog any more.

Finally, in the Calendar app itself, you can double tap the Calendars
button at the bottom of the screen and make sure your Google calendar is
selected.

RE: Calendar question

2016-04-27 Thread Chip Orange
Well, the answer here depends on the app. If you use the Outlook app, it
integrates it's calendar events with the IOS calendar; there are likely other
apps which also do this if you're no fan of Outlook ... but I do recommend the
Outlook app, and it does work with a wide range of email protocols.

I did try the gmail app hoping it would do this as well, but if it does, I
don't know how to make it do so; just like the original poster, when I read
emails in the gmail app, no calendar events were integrated into the IOS
calendar.

I have to admit I did not try hard enough with the built-in IOS mail app and
calendar events; you would think if any app would handle IOS calendar
integration that it would ... but I seem to recall it did not recognize Outlook
calendar invites, and I get mostly those right now.

Not entirely true, if you select the Google calendar within your eyelash

Re: Calendar question

2016-04-25 Thread Chris Chaffin

An invite from someones google calendar will not be added to your ios calendar.
These are two different calendar systems, and they do not integrate with each
other.
So only an invite from another ios calendar will be added to your ios calendar.

Hope this helps,

Chris

Re: Calendar question

2015-01-03 Thread Alex Hall
As Kimberly said, two events might be your best bet. You can, however, set them
to repeat on the nth Thursday of a given month. Once you are in the custom
repeat screen, choose the monthly repeat option. Next, choose every, and
use the pickers to select which Thursday you want. Repeat this process for the
other event, but on the other Thursday, and that should do it. Unfortunately,
it looks like the each option, which offers a grid of all the days in the
month, is not fully accessible in iOS8.1.2. I don't think that would do what
you want, since it's based on the date and not the day of the week, but I
thought I'd mention it.

Re: Calendar question

2015-01-02 Thread Alex Hall
When adding the event, double tap on the repeats button. At the bottom of the
resulting screen should be a custom option (note that this is iOS8 and above
only). Go in there, and you can set just about any combination you want, if
memory serves. I've done this a few times, but not recently, since once I set
things up I haven't had to do it again. The option you want should be in there,
but I can't confirm it for sure.

Re: calendar question

2013-09-25 Thread Laura ann Grymes
you open the individual event on the schedule and can then edit it if need be.
on the day view it does read what the event is but on the overall view of the
month it does not.
just says 1 or 2 or 3 events and so on.

I am getting use to new calendar and like using the native app.
