Re: Cannot activate button bug on iOS8

2014-09-29 Thread Christopher Chaltain
I haven't tried this with the NFL Mobile app but in Netflix to do this,
I do a double tap and hold in a corner of the screen and after I get the
tones, I drag the screen around in the appropriate direction to get the
button on the screen. There's some exploring of the screen, not with
swiping, to see what's visible and where the button I want to get to
might be in relationship to what's visible.

anybody know if there's any way to get the button visible if that's the
problem? Please don't tell me get sighted help. That probably won't be
possible till Wednesday evening so, while it may end up being the only
solution, please don't send it to me as a reply.

Thanks.

I tried and tried to turn over a new leaf.
I got crumpled wads of tear-stained paper
thrown in the trash!
Then God gave me a new heart and life:
His joy for my despairing tears!

his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.

Re: Cannot activate button bug on iOS8

2014-09-29 Thread Ioana Gandrabur
Hi

I don't think it's a bug with the button not visible, since in any sharing
through messages app, this does not work although I can move my finger around
the screen and find the button.
The only workaround I found is to place my finger on the send button and keep
it there. Turn off voiceover and attempt to tap on it. If the swishing sound
is heard, I know I've been successful. Then I turn on vo again.
Not elegant but gets job done. Please let apple accessibility know about it.

Best,

Ioana

Re: Cannot activate button bug on iOS8

2014-09-29 Thread Cheryl Homiak
Thanks so much!

I finally turned on a bluetooth keyboard so I wouldn't be in danger of pressing
keys on the virtual keyboard. Then I found send and double-tapped and held it
so I wouldn't get lost. Then with the other hand I turned voiceover off.
Finally I lifted my finger just slightly and tapped. I did it a couple of times
I think so I'm not sure if I got it with the first tap. But I heard the swish,
turned voiceover back on and found that the message had been sent. I will write
accessibility about this. I did succed, but what a pain!
