Re: Four-Finger Horizontal Swipe Stopped Working in iOS 12

2018-10-23 Thread Steve Matzura

That's an interesting one about which I did not know.

On the other hand, I am having consistent results with the 3-D gesture. Hold
your thumb down, along the very left side of your screen, maybe in the middle.
So the left middle, if that makes sense. This is consistently working for me to
bring up app switcher.

I was so hoping that the four-finger horizontal swipe to move among open
applications problem where when swiping past the last open application would
drop the user to the home screen would be fixed in iOS 12. Instead of fixing
it, I can't get this gesture to do anything. Everyone tells me it works on
their phones, I must be doing something wrong. While this is probably accurate
and correct in the majority of cases (ha ha), not this time. I have had others
try the gesture on my 8 Plus with iOS 12.1, VoiceOver running, at least two
applications open, and it does absolutely nothing. Does anyone else have this
problem? Has the gesture been changed and I just missed it in the release notes?

TIA
