To reset your incripted backup password, go to settings, general reset. Next
choose reset all settings. Then connect your phone to iTunes via your computer
and then start a new incripted backup. This is where you can create a new
incripted backup password.
Here is a link to more info on this process.

Hello folks,

I upgraded my 4S from IOS six to IOS seven over wifi directly without
using the iTunes on my PC. Now, anytime I connect my iPhone to my
computer to allow it to backup, I get this message: “The iPhone Cris’s
iPhone cannot be used because it requires iTunes version 11.0 or later.
Go to www.itunes.com http://www.itunes.com to download the latest
version of iTunes.” and it gives me only one choice which is an ok
button to exit this screen. I know that I Have the latest version of
iTunes. I even uninstalled then reinstalled iTunes but I still have
this problem. Any suggestions?

Regards,

Cris

had to upgrade to the latest iTunes release which came out recently for it to
work with iOS 7. Your problem seems to confirm this.

Just to be clear the iTunes version required is 11.1, not 11.0 or any
variant in the 11.0 category.

RE: iTunes problem Solving

2013-03-09 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Sandy,

First of all, you can manually backup to your computer even when iCloud
backup is on, I do it all the time.

As for your problem, does the computer recognize your iPhone? That would be
the first thing to find out, do you get the USB device connect sound? If so,
do you see your iPhone in Computer or My Computer if you are still on
XP? If not, does your cable charge the phone when it's plugged into the wall
charger? There is always a possibility that your cable is defective and it's
usually the first thing you want to rule out.

When I try to sync my phone with my PC I get a message that the syncing is
disabled and I don't even know how to begin problem solving. I turned off
the iCloud back up because I know I cannot back up on the computer if iCloud
backup is enabled.

When I go into itunes WIFI Sync in Settings I get the message that says,
to enable WIFI syncing with iTunes, connect to iTunes on your computer
using a cable and click sync with this iPhone over WIFI. Just beyond that
is a Sync now button; it's grayed out. Just past that it says, Sync or
review when Hips available. This is not a button.

In iTunes itself, everything under Devices in the file menu is disabled,

I will go back to Jonathan's excellent podcasts about iTunes 11 but I really
don't know how to problem solve this one.

RE: iTunes problem Solving

2013-03-09 Thread Sandy Finley
Hi, sieghard. It's funny; just after I wrote my message this morning I
realized that the computer is not recognizing the phone; it's not even
allowing the phone to charge when plugged into the computer. I tested the
cable and it's not defective. You talked about backing up your phone
manually;; how do you do that? And is backing up the same as sync? I want my
bookmarks from IE and my calendar and address book to sync with my phone.

Sieghard

Are you plugging your phone into a USB hub or a USB port directly on the
computer? Anyhow, just try a different USB port and see if the computer
charges the phone or recognizes it.

Have you tried a different USB port?

 Hi Everyone:

First, I appologize if this message is off-topic.
I am having a bit of a problem with Itunes I can't seem to solve.
I have my Itunes set up so when I download music on my Iphone when I
open Itunes on my computer it automatically downloads the music to my
 computer.
Earlier today, I purchased a song called I Knew You Were Trouble by
Taylor Swift. The song is downloaded on my phone.
When I opened Itunes on my pc it said it was downloading a few items
and then it made the sound it makes once it is finished downloading
 something.
I went to check for the Taylor Swift song and it is not there.
I checked my phone and the song is on there.
I updated my Itunes match just to make sure that wasn't the problem.
My Itunes match says it is updated.
I went into my phone and checked the settings under Itunes to make
sure automatically download purchases was still turned on. Everything
 is fine there.
I even went into the store section on the pc and hit the check for
available downloads button and it said all purchases have been
 downloaded.
I tried doing a general search for the title of the song in case it
might be listed under another artist or something.
 No results came up.
So, does anyone know how I can get this song which is downloaded on my
phone to download on my computer?
Is the only way to sync my phone to Itunes through USB and then
 transfer the song that way?

 Thanks!
