That’s due to your thermostat’s learned schedule, which so far has been
inaccessible.

Hi,

Yes I have the nest thermostat connected to the Google home mini.

I find that periodically during the day the temperature changes on its own. And
I have to up it back to 77.

Re: Nest thermostat.

2020-11-15 Thread Jenny Bomareto
I just asked the Google referring not to the app on our phone but to the
actual thing that sitting on the table asked what the family room temperature
is, and he said cooling is 77 with the current temperature of 73 so I’m hoping
everything‘s OK and I’m not messing up the nest thermostat. As I do not want to
do anything to ruin it. As my Matt paid for it that’s another very important
reason I do not want to mess up the thermostat or it’s starting to burn out or
anything. Meaning where the gadget gets ruined.

Thanks for your prompt attention!

RE: Nest thermostat

2016-07-08 Thread Chip Orange
Also, you could look at using the “auto away” feature of the Nest (which makes
use of the motion sensor in the Nest), and there’s a geofencing feature you
can enable such that when your phone leaves the area of the Nest, it
automatically goes into “away” unless someone triggers the motion sensor.

Kathy, I recently acquired a nest thermostat. I am using the app and can change
from home to a mode without difficulty. It works fine with voiceover. There are
a couple of other issues it don't work as well, such as not being able to
determine the inside temperature, and you really can't determine or set up a
schedule. However, the nest learns your habits and this doesn't send me a major
drawback. Anyway, if I can help further, just ask.

Subject: Nest thermostat

I believe in the past this was accessible but planning on having to use it next
weekend I learned that I cannot switch from home to away or the other way
around. We turned VO off and it worked but this doesn’t help me. I e-mailed
Nest and they said it was an apple problem not theirs. “Sigh”, Any suggestions
on getting a quick solution to this?

Re: Nest thermostat

2016-06-28 Thread Les Kriegler
Yes, I will give you an example of how it works. My nest is called Albany home.
So I identify button that says Albany home and do a one finger double tap. At
that point, I have a choice of home or away. If I want to change it to away, I
do a one finger double tap on the way in as a set.

RE: Nest thermostat

2016-06-28 Thread Kathy Brack
OK, are you saying that if you are on home and want to switch to away, you can
do this. Every time I tap on home it does nothing, with VO off it will change.
I really don’t care about the indoor temp. We have a condo at the coast and we
like to turn the temp up when we leave and from home we like to make it cooler
for our arrival. My husband has tried to find a work around but no success.
