Carolyn,

Find & open the Clock app. Swipe down to the alarm time in
which you want to turn off Snooze. Flick on the time until you get to Edit,
then tap to expand. Swipe down to Snooze & tap to toggle OFF. Tap on Save at
the top of the page. Tap on BACK to go to the list of your alarms to find &
Edit other set Alarm times or just Close the app.

I mean, I realize it could come back again with an

You don't really even have to open or turn on your phone, when the alarm goes
off, pick up your phone, either flick up or down, or what I do, is just swipe
left to right, and the only options I have is to snooze or stop. If I want to
snooze, I double tab on that, or if I want to stop the alarm, double tab on
that. I think the snooze option is set as a default, so you will either have
to disable the snooze when you set the alarm, or just do what I said above. I
wonder if you had Hey Siri set up, could you just tell her to stop the alarm,
not sure though, as I don't have the Hey Siri set up. Just a thought.

So, then, I just tapped my phone, but if I open and flick, I can go to Stop?

Hi All,
I am a real fan of the snooze on my alarm on my phone, and I love it!
Although, I do press the snooze button several times before I finally get out
of bed. I also do understand some people just don't like that though. When my
alarm goes off, I have the option to press the snooze button again, or to press
the stop button, in which will turnthe alarm completely off, so it is my
choice. I have to turn off the alarm some way rather I press the snooze or the
stop button. I think I seen in one of these messages Donna gave instructions
to disable the snooze feature completely, so someone wouldn't be bothered with
it at all.

Carolyn and others, What does disabling snooze by me? I would think that you
could avoid it by just not hitting the snooze button, but it sounds like there

OK. In the past, I've gotten Siri to set, but it will be worth it to go into

Carolyn,

Anytime you are creating a new alarm, just swipe down past the time to snooze &
confirm that snooze is turned off. If you do this while setting up the alarm
time then you shouldn't have to do it later.

Carolyn,

Find & open the Clock app. Swipe down to the alarm time in which you want to
turn off Snooze. Flick on the time until you get to Edit, then tap to expand.
Swipe down to Snooze & tap to toggle OFF. Tap on Save at the top of the page.
Tap on BACK to go to the list of your alarms to find & Edit other set Alarm
times or just Close the app.

RE: Snooze.

2023-06-04 Thread janet gross
Hi All,
I am a real fan of the snooze on my alarm on my phone, and I love it!

I would think that you
could avoid it by just not hitting the snooze button, but it sounds like there
might be some advantage to this that I'm not aware of.

I don't think it has to do with updates, if you create an alarm and make sure
snooze is off for that alarm then as long as you use that same alarm it should
be off. If you create a new alarm it's probably going to be on which I believe
might be the default and I don't think you can change the default at this point.

Carolyn,

Anytime you are creating a new alarm, just swipe down past the time to snooze &
confirm that snooze is turned off. If you do this while setting up the alarm
time then you shouldn't have to do it later.

OK, are you trying to edit occur an alarm or add a new one? If you're adding a
new one, there is a picker, on mine that says 2 o'clock. I can easily flip up
or down to adjust the hour. Or the minute. And if you're in the alarm, the
snooze button is just directly past the sound button. And mine currently says
on.

I was trying to add a new alarm. 2 P.M. was the last setting I saw. I saw no
way to type in 3 A.M.

Thank you, Joseph! I finally got Snooze turned off!

Open up the clock app, go to the edit alarm button, and deselect the snooze
switch. Otherwise, just hit the stop button and that'll keep the snooze from
happening. In other words, don't hit your lock screen button. That will snooze
your alarm.

great. It doesn't seem like it used to happen.

When the alarm goes off, I find a clock button in the upper left corner of the
screen. Using VoiceOver actions, I flick down to stop the alarm, and it doesn’t
snooze. I’d have to look in the clock app settings, which you should be able to
get to in Settings -> clock, to see if there’s a way to just globally turn off
the snooze option.

Subject: Snooze alarm.

What do I do to keep snooze button from ever happening. I do not like it at
all. So, when I turn off the alarm, does anyone know what I could do to stop
snooze too? Thanks.

Re: Snooze alarm.

2022-09-04 Thread joseph hudson
Open up the clock app, go to the edit alarm button, and deselect the snooze
switch. Otherwise, just hit the stop button and that'll keep the snooze from
happening. In other words, don't hit your lock screen button. That will snooze
your alarm.

RE: Snooze alarm.

2022-09-04 Thread Christopher Chaltain
When the alarm goes off, I find a clock button in the upper left corner of the
screen. Using VoiceOver actions, I flick down to stop the alarm, and it doesn't
snooze. I'd have to look in the clock app settings, which you should be able to
get to in Settings -> clock, to see if there's a way to just globally turn off
the snooze option.

hi, everyone, I noticed that on updating to my new iPhone, my alarm doesn't
wake me up with songs that I have chosen. However the vibration is there. Do
any of you have any suggestions on how I can get my songs back? Thanks very
much. Esther

Yes, once you make the change to off, you will not have the snooze function on

Hi Carolyn,

If you want to turn snooze off for that alarm, go to the clock app, select the
alarm tab at the bottom of the screen, find your alarm and flick up to edit and
double tap. Toward the bottom on that screen is a toggle to turn the snooze
function on and off. There is a “save” button at the top of the screen. Double
tap that and you are back on the alarms screen.

I hope that helps!

Take care and stay safe!

The next time it goes off, just double tap on the stop button. The screen lock
button will also snooze it as well.

RE: Snooze alarm.

2022-03-14 Thread Carolyn
I will do that. Will it keep it off indefinitely? I would imagine a change in
my clock could have come with an update. I don't use my alarm a lot.
